“Sofia has been great with my dog. She’s been extremely patient even when my dog has been fussy. It only took a couple of walks before she warmed up to her. Definitely want to thank Sofia for everything and I know Katie is looking forward to future walks!”
7. Valerie C.

“Valerie and her daughter walked our two dogs while we were away in the mornings and our dogs loved them! She usually takes care of dogs from her house, but we needed only walk visits and feedings. We have two big dogs, a German shepherd and a pitbull, and they had no troubles with them at all. One is dog friendly and one is not (the shepherd doesn't like other dogs and the pitbull loves everyone!). We would HIGHLY recommend her to take care of your babies, big and small!”

About: My children and I currently have a golden doodle named Phoenix! He's been a member of our family shortly after he became 8 weeks old. With all of his energy, he keeps us on our toes and we've helped him to learn about 36 commands together in a brief timeframe. Although, our time together has only amounted to a couple of years, I also grew up with a family that had two border collies, Midnight and C.J., as part of our family. #FourLeggedFun Different from how it was growing up, over the last few years, I have quickly learned about how essential it is to understand canine philosophy and pack mentality with dogs. This has allowed our family to train Phoenix in a way that puts his needs first while still allowing us to get the benefit of loving on him in a way that he can feel loved too. I currently work until the early afternoon on the weekdays. So, I have plenty of time to get a few walks in before bed time :-). On the weekends, I am available from the early afternoons until late evening. I would love to share some outside time with your furry friends. Safety is key for both your pet and myself. As such, I will treat your pets with love, respect, and kindness just as if they were my own. I'll be mindful of the temperature outside, as well as, the walking path that we may take. And, if I notice anything out of the ordinary about your pet during our walk I will be sure to keep you informed. Additionally, please let me know what your pet(s) are accustomed to and I'll do my best to accommodate their needs.

About: When I was living in NYC, I was a daily dog walker for a company for 4 years. Since moving to the DMV area, I’ve been working at cat clinics as well as volunteering to walk dogs at animal shelters in the area. I’m highly trusted and reliable, and have a LOVE for dogs and cats of all kinds. I’m currently working part time while my kiddos are in school, and am available on weekdays Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays anytime between 11:00-12:30. On weekends I’m available Saturday’s and Sunday’s from 8a-12:00p. I’m knowledgeable on how to carefully and safely harness your pup, as well as be sure to lock up correctly to ensure a safe environment.
19. Jacquelyn W.
“Jacquelyn dog sat for me for two years. She is incredibly responsible and reliable. I had a very senior dog who had some specific medical needs and she took impeccable care of him. He was my baby. I never felt worried or concerned when I was traveling, because I knew my boy was in great hands. Jacquelyn treated my dog as she would one of her own pets. I trusted her completely and so did my dog. I could always count on her to take excellent care of him and understand his needs. ”

20. Ashley W.
About: Hi! I’m Ashley, a lifelong dog lover who understands that pets are family. I’ve cared for dogs of all ages — from energetic puppies learning routines to senior dogs who need a slower pace and extra patience. I’m especially attentive to structure, safety, and consistency. Whether your dog thrives on playtime, long walks, or cozy downtime, I tailor care to their personality and needs. What Sets Me Apart: 🐾 Calm, structured environment — I naturally create predictable routines that help dogs feel secure. 🐾 Experience with puppies — Reinforcing potty training, crate routines, and basic commands. 🐾 Senior dog care — Comfortable administering medications, slower walks, and gentle handling. 🐾 Highly observant — I quickly notice changes in behavior, appetite, or mood. 🐾 Excellent communication — Expect regular updates, photos, and honest check-ins. My background working with families and in behavioral health has made me especially patient, attentive, and responsive to individual needs — and dogs are no different. I understand that every dog has a personality, and I take the time to learn what makes them feel safe and happy. Your dog won’t just be watched — they’ll be cared for thoughtfully. I have a very flexible work from home schedule that allows me to give pets consistent attention throughout the day. Walks, feeding times, play, and rest are built into my routine, and I avoid long stretches where dogs would be left alone. I’m intentional about maintaining structure and supervision, as my goal is to provide stability and predictability so they feel safe, comfortable and secure while you’re away. I prioritize safety, supervision, and a calm environment at all times. In my home, pets are cared for in a clean, structured space where routines are consistent and predictable. Dogs are never left outdoors unattended and I limit the number of dogs in my care at one time. I keep doors and gates secured at all times and have a large fenced in backyard. I provide regular photo updates for peace of mind. Feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, and rest times are all intentional and tailored to each dog’s needs. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their space as if it were my own. I follow all care instructions carefully — including feeding routines, medications (if needed), crate training, or household rules. I’m highly attentive to changes in behavior or appetite and communicate promptly if anything seems off. Trust is extremely important to me. My goal is for both pets and owners to feel secure, comfortable, and confident while they’re away.
