“Terri frequently takes care of my Belgian Malinois. She gives the dogs attention and love, and they get a lot of exercise too. As an example, I was going out of town, and could only take 2 of my 3 dogs, and had to leave the third with Terri for three weeks. The dog left in her care is my foster dog, Dani, who has serious (did i say serious) mental issues, very fearful, and is unplaceable. Dani is afraid of everyone, and she forgets every day who is her friend. (think of the movie "50 First Dates" with Drew Barrymore) When not at home, or if there is a stranger around, Dani will hides under a bed, or just shake with ultimate fear. Terri's compassion and patience helped this dog. She has managed to make this dog less fearful, and now, when i take the dog there, after the first minute of "where am i" fear, the dog sits in the open and behaves like she does in her own environment. It takes a lot of patience and will to deal with a dog with mental issues like Dani.”
