About: Hi, I’m Sam! I’m a 25 year old lifelong animal lover with years of hands-on experience caring for all kinds of animals. I grew up on a farm, so animals have always been a huge part of my life. I have experience with dogs, cats, horses, chickens, goats, pigs, rabbits, guinea pigs, and more! I’m the proud owner of a horse I bred and raised myself named Doc, a miniature horse named Chimichanga, and my heeler/coonhound mix, Wesson. I also completed a 3-year veterinary science program in high school and worked in a veterinary hospital, giving me valuable experience with animal health, behavior, and safe handling. For the past five years, I’ve worked as an exercise rider, riding racehorses along the East Coast, with Saratoga as my summer home base. Caring for animals is truly a huge part of who I am, both professionally and personally. Please keep in mind that I do not provide constant 24/7 care. Due to my work schedule, I leave very early in the morning and typically return around 11 a.m. or noon. Because of this, dogs who do not experience significant separation anxiety are the best fit for my care. I’ll always treat your pets with the same love, patience, and attention I give my own. Their safety, happiness, and comfort are my top priorities, and I would love the opportunity to care for your furry family members. I hope to meet you and your pets soon! I work at the racetrack in the mornings, but I am available every afternoon, night, and before I go into work in the morning. I am very reliable! If it’s a fenced in yard, I go outside and watch the dog(s) to make sure they went potty and had adequate play time. If they need walked on the leash, I make sure they have enough time to go potty, and see new sights and sounds!
