“Deeply passionate and immensely caring of animals, Alejandra is a person who I have grown to know over the course of many years. Since becoming friends in tenth grade, I have gotten to realize how sincere and kind Alejandra is as both a person and owner of a pet dog herself, Lily. Never have I ever seen a person so attached and loving to dogs. Whether it be through social media or taking her dog out herself frequently, the world knows that Alejandra is the go-to for pet love. We have walked our dogs together several times together and I see her light up every time she is out in the world with her dog. She is so comfortable around my dog and other people's dogs as well and does not hesitate to take care of anyone's dogs when they need a sitter. When my family and I went to Canada for the summer, I did not hesitate to ask Alejandra to watch my dog. Giving her my house key and my dog to watch over, I know Alejandra is both very responsible and trustworthy. Moreover, she is a strong believer in animal rights and has supported and raised awareness to prevent animal abuse. She dreams to start and run a shelter for dogs in Colombia as there are many stray dogs and abused dogs needed of attention there in her home country. After building a shelter there, I know she will strive to build more to spread the need for animal protection and care.
