“Do not hesitate - Elaina is your BEST choice for a pet sitter. Her family's home is in my neighborhood, so I've known them for maybe 16 years?! She was already my favorite girl scout, and then I got to know her more when she choose to help me in a time of need for a service project about 10 years ago. Soon after, I started needing a cat sitter to care for my 2 - then 3 kitties when I traveled. I had her on rotation alongside another couple of teens in the neighborhood - I was able to compare their care and communication - Elaina was the best of the bunch by a longshot. I had a long list of requirements, which she didn't bat an eye at. She sent pictures food and/or water bowls until I got comfortable, and always sent pictures and videos of my kitties. She even sent a selfie with my scardy cat that the other cat sitters never even saw. I was away in Europe as the pandemic was hitting in early 2020, and she was worrying and writing, keeping me informed, giving me peace of mind and letting me know that she would care for our furbabies as long as we needed her to. During that time, our automatic feeder ran out of batteries - she worked with my emergency contact to get it set back up - and went by the house twice a day on her own will to be sure that they were not going hungry, without asking me. She even went over the day we were getting home without our asking, just to be sure everything looked ok and that we wouldn't have to do anything after a 24 hour day. Here was her last message, along with cat pics, "I just wanted to let you know, I’m over here now to double check everything. The water fountain was noisy so I took the filter apart and cleaned it. That’s why the red towel is wet because I spilled the base of the fountain a bit and had to soak it up. Other than that, the kitties are good. I’m sitting with him Ginger and Shadow right now and they are purring up a storm. No need to pay me for today. " Also, I know she had a dog or 3... as her family often fostered dogs, so I was never sure how many were actually theirs - in fact her family came to my rescue to foster a puppy I found on my way home late at night on a busy street, as I have never had a dog and my cats were not pleased. I could go on and on about her - but you get the picture. I am very proud of her, just sad that she's grown up and moved away so she can't be my catsitter anymore.. I'm crossing my fingers that she goes to school for Veterinary Science, comes "back home" and can become our vet! Until then, she can be there for your furbabies!”

We were updated frequently with plenty of pictures. We could tell that Parsley was having an absolute blast - which was confirmed when I went to pick her up and she didn't want to leave.
