She grew up in a family with cats, and as an adult has adopted two of her own, a variety of fish (which she keeps safe from the cats), and, most recently, a puppy that was sadly abandoned by one of her neighbors. When I was in a life transition several years ago, she housed me and my dog, and we temporarily became one, big, happy family.
