About: As a pet lover, I understand how important it is to have someone trustworthy and experienced to take care of your furry family members when you can't be there. That's where I come in! What sets me apart from other sitters is that I truly love spending time with pets - it's not just a job for me. I have two lovable senior dogs of my own, Edger and Peggy, who have taught me so much about caring for older dogs. When I'm taking care of your pets, I make sure to give them lots of love and attention. I'll play with them, take them on walks, and of course, make sure they're well-fed and hydrated. I'm also happy to administer any necessary medications or special treatments. Overall, my goal is to make sure your critters feel happy, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I've been trusted by friends and family to pet-sit for years, and I'm excited to bring my passion for pet care to your home! As a busy college student, I know the importance of sticking to a schedule. That's why I make sure to plan ahead for any pet care requests. Ideally, I would love to have a week's notice so I can prepare accordingly and provide your furry friends with the best possible care. Times of unavailability are Mondays after 1 PM and on Thursdays before 12 PM. Other than that, I'm more than happy to work with you to find the best time for your pet's needs. 1. Safety: - Create a pet-proof environment by removing any hazardous items or substances that could harm the pets. - Secure any potential escape routes, such as fences or gates, to prevent pets from wandering off. - Keep toxic plants, chemicals, and medications out of reach. - Supervise pets during playtime to prevent accidents or injuries. 2. Trust: - Establish a trusting relationship with the pets by providing them with love, attention, and positive reinforcement. - Follow the pet owner's instructions and routines to maintain consistency and familiarity for the pets. - Communicate regularly with the pet owners, providing updates and addressing any concerns or questions they may have. - Respect the privacy and confidentiality of the pet owners and their homes. 3. Environment: - Provide a comfortable and clean living space for the pets, including bedding, toys, and appropriate temperature control. - Ensure access to fresh water and a balanced diet as per the pet owner's instructions. - Maintain a regular exercise routine to keep the pets physically and mentally stimulated. - Follow any specific grooming or hygiene requirements for the pets, such as brushing, bathing, or nail trimming. If you offer pet care services in the client's home, you can follow similar guidelines while also considering the following: 1. Familiarity: - Familiarize yourself with the layout of the client's home to prevent any accidents or damage. - Respect the client's personal belongings and maintain a clean and organized environment. 2. Security: - Ensure the client's home is secure during your presence by locking doors and windows when necessary. - Follow any specific security protocols provided by the client, such as alarm systems or key management. By prioritizing safety, trust, and a suitable environment, you can provide excellent care for pets in both your own home and your client's home, ensuring their well-being and the satisfaction of their owners.
