Ik zorg uiteraard dat er 24:7 water en eten staat

Over: Lifelong dog lover offering reliable care! I grew up with pups and have my own friendly dog. I provide walks and visits, follow your schedule, and treat your pet like family. Although I work full-time, I always make sure the dogs in my care get plenty of exercise, attention, and love. I work alternating shifts, which gives me flexibility throughout the day. Even when I have an early shift, I'm used to early mornings, so getting up at 4 a.m. isn't a problem for me. Dogs staying with me will enjoy at least four walks a day: one in the morning, one in the afternoon, and two more walks before bedtime. I also spend a lot of time outdoors with my own dog, so your dog will have plenty of opportunities to explore, exercise, and have fun. I understand that every dog has different needs. If your dog prefers to walk alone or isn't comfortable with other dogs, I'm more than happy to take them on separate walks. I don't use a crate unless that's part of your dog's normal routine and you specifically request it. My goal is to make every dog feel safe, comfortable, and at home while they're with me. I can easily take care of your dog's or cats special needs, my own dog is allergic to chicken and is very picky. I have lots of patience and I would care for it as for my own baby.

“We had such a fantastic experience with Megan and her partner Ryenn! Before the booking, we did a pre-meet and it was clear right away that they were absolute naturals with dogs. Beanie, our mini Teckel/ Dachshund, loved them from the very first moment and that immediately put us at ease. Whilst we were away they stuck closely to Beanie’s routine, which I'm sure really helped her feel at home. They took her on walks, played with her, and showered her with attention. They even tried to walk her in the rain (despite her strong opinions about that!) — it just showed how committed and thoughtful they were in giving her the best care. We also really appreciated the regular updates and photos, which reassured us that she was happy and in great hands. Beanie looked so comfortable and well-loved the whole time (we absolutely loved getting pictures of her curled up on the sofa with them! ‼️Please keep my pet preferences in mind, as I can't take care of large dogs, and I do not speak Dutch‼️ I am currently studying full term, and only have 2 classes a week. Besides this I spend my time at home playing videogames or working on my thesis. I also hang out with friends, but when im taking care of a fur baby, I make sure that their needs are met first or even inviting my friends over to my place for them to get double the care and love☺️ I have taken care of both dogs and cats before, and I make sure to spend time around them and see what they feel comfortable with! With dogs, I would prefer to walk them in more quiet places or their usual trail to make them feel comfortable! And when taking care of pets at home, I make sure windows are always closed and never leave out any food or dangerous items!

Over: I have always been loving and patient towards cats and dogs. I have my own cat - Pera who is sadly in Türkiye so I thought in the mean time I’ll spend some time with new friends. Het gezelschap van een dier past dus perfect in mijn dagelijkse routine. Bij verzorging bij mij thuis zorg ik voor een rustige, veilige en huiselijke omgeving. Ik woon in een woning van 143 m² met een tuin, waar dieren voldoende ruimte hebben om te ontspannen en spelen. Er komt weinig tot geen bezoek, wat zorgt voor rust en stabiliteit. Ik houd de routine van het dier zo veel mogelijk aan, met vaste voedingstijden, wandelingen en rustmomenten. Elk dier krijgt persoonlijke aandacht en wordt met liefde verzorgd alsof het mijn eigen huisdier is. Bij verzorging bij het baasje thuis volg ik nauwkeurig de instructies op. Ik respecteer de gewoontes van het dier, zorg voor een vertrouwde sfeer en geef regelmatig updates aan de eigenaar. Of het nu gaat om voeding, beweging of medicatie – ik ben alert en toegewijd aan het welzijn van het dier.

Mijn ervaring: Ik ben opgegroeid met kleine (asiel)hondjes thuis en in 2011 heb ik voor het eerst een maand vrijwilligerswerk gedaan in Spanje bij een hondenasiel. In de jaren daaropvolgend heb ik in verschillende buitenlandse asielen vrijwilligerswerk gedaan (zie foto's). Daar heb ik toen ook mijn eerste hondje geadopteerd toen ze 10 jaar oud was. Ik heb in 2019 een opleiding gedaan over hondengedrag en heb natuurlijk van mijn eigen hondjes ook veel geleerd. Mijn tweede hondje heb ik in 2020 geadopteerd, ook op latere leeftijd. Eind 2024 is zij overleden en sindsdien heb ik besloten om hondenoppas te worden, want ik miste het gezelschap wel! Ik heb dus veel ervaring met (oude) hondjes en heb zelfs nog een hondenbuggy hier thuis staan voor als jouw hondje wel mee wil op lange wandelingen, maar dat niet meer goed kan. Daarnaast werk ik ook als vrijwilliger elke vrijdag bij een hondendagopvang waar de honden in een groep samen zijn, waardoor ik nog meer leer over hondengedrag. Momenteel studeer ik thuis (Besluit Houders van Dieren; honden en katten) en werk ik een dag in de week als kinderoppas (10 en 12 jaar oud). Daar is de hond altijd welkom. Wat belangrijk is om te weten: Ik woon alleen en als de hond voor vakantieopvang naar mij toekomt, moet de hond wel even zonder stress alleen thuis kunnen zijn. Ik wil namelijk wel boodschappen kunnen doen of naar mijn dansles kunnen gaan zonder dat de hond dan thuis in paniek raakt. Ze mogen alleen niet op mijn bed komen, maar als je hondje blijft slapen dan staat er altijd een fijn hondenbed naast mijn bed (of zijn/haar eigen bed). Honden zijn natuurlijk groepsdieren en daar houd ik graag rekening mee. Ik ben het gewend dat ik ze overal mee naartoe neem in de auto en zo min mogelijk alleen laat. Ik vind het juist leuk als de hond overal mee naartoe kan.

Over: Oké, mijn headline lijkt cheesy, maar is wel waar. Mijn eigen dieren zijn altijd heel belangrijk geweest voor mij. Mijn eigen 4 katten zorgen net voor die extra warmte en liefde die mijn huis en mijn hart nodig hebben. Zo lang als ik me kan herinneren ben ik altijd al met meerdere soorten viervoeters geweest, van mijn vlaamse reuzen vroeger tot mijn rottweiler later en mijn 4 katten nu. Ze zorgen ervoor dat ik me geaard voelt, en laten we eerlijk zijn: het is ook heerlijk om voor hen te zorgen! Ik ben zelfstandig ondernemer, dus kan veel plannen zoals ik het wil/ moet. Het kan zijn dat ik één tot twee keer per week bij een klant werk (ik doe zelfstandig de marketing voor klanten) dus dan 's avonds of 's morgens vroeg moet langskomen. Hier zie ik zelf geen problemen mee :) Als ik bij een kat ga kijken/ voeren/ spelen: Wij spreken een tijd/ planning af waar jij je comfortabel bij voelt (En ik ook natuurlijk). Zo lang ik weet waar voer en andere benodigdheden staan, kom ik er helemaal uit! Hiernaast kan ik altijd foto's voor je maken als je weg bent, zodat je je helemaal comfortabel voelt over jouw kattenkind. Simpeler kan ik het haast niet maken.

After my classes, I am fully available and flexible for pet care during the rest of the day and week. I enjoy spending time with animals and can easily include walks and care in my daily routine. I always prioritize the safety and well-being of every pet. At home, I have a friendly dog, and I am used to caring for animals responsibly. My house has a garden, but it is not fenced, so I only allow outdoor time under supervision or I go for regular walks instead. I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully and make sure pets feel safe, comfortable and supervised at all times. I enjoy taking dogs on walks and providing them with attention, exercise and care.

Ik geef de voorkeur aan langere termijn housesitting. I will take my time to get to know your dog, and to introduce him/her to Kiwi. If necessary this can be done on neutral terrain or a walk. My own dog gets food twice per day, she is okay with other dogs but if necessary they can be kept apart while eating. Normally I walk her one to three times a day, depends on the weather, time, etc. For your dog I will follow the instructions you provide and take care that the dogs will be social to each other, or at best tolerate and respect each other.

If pet owner objects to seeking veterinary care when medically necessary, pet owner will be responsible for either taking over care of their pet themselves or securing a different caregiver expeditiously. Over: I began working with animals in 2016 through Paws and Claws, an independent daycare and dog walking service in the UK. My responsibilities included walking, feeding, and caring for dogs throughout the morning and afternoon. I was also responsible for pick-up and drop-off, which involved being trusted with access to clients’ homes. Alongside this, I carried out house calls to help socialise dogs or check in on those who didn’t require a full day of on-site daycare. At the daycare facility, I comfortably handled groups of up to ten dogs of varying breeds, sizes, and temperaments on walks in the local woodlands. As demand grew, I expanded my services to include house and pet sitting across several nearby villages and towns. Over the years, I have cared for a wide range of animals, including dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, and guinea pigs, and I am also happy to tend to gardens or house plants when needed. After moving to Utrecht for my studies, I began offering my own dog walking and pet sitting services to pet owners that I met in the city or at surrounding walking spots. On my working days, if I am looking after a dog, I like to bring them with me so that they can socialise with the pack. If a dog needs to be left alone or doesn't get along with other dogs, this can also be easily accommodated during the day in a safe, penned-off area at the facility. On my days off, I am entirely flexible and work from home while finishing my Master's thesis, making my routine highly compatible with dedicated pet care. I live with my girlfriend in a large, multi-room apartment in the Rivierenbuurt neighbourhood of Amsterdam. The location is convenient for dogs and humans alike, being just a short walk from several metro stations and with easy drop-off outside via street access. We are lucky to be located just a stone's throw away from Beatrixpark and Martin Luther Kingpark, with the Amstel and the Amsterdamse Bos close by, providing some wonderful green spaces right on our doorstep for daily walks. Ik weet dus hoe het is om dieren bij iemand achter te laten en om voor andere dan eigen dieren te zorgen.  Sinds 2024 heb ik zelf geen dieren meer. Mijn vaste oppas hond (was 15) en vaste oppas poes (was 17) zijn in 2025 overleden. Via een grote Britse website pas ik nu op honden en katten in het buitenland in ruil voor een verblijf zodat ik kan reizen. Via Rover.com zoek ik honden waarop ik kan passen als ik thuis ben. Mijn ervaringen hebben me flexibel, vindingrijk en bekwaam gemaakt om met uitdagingen om te gaan die zich tijdens de afwezigheid van de eigenaar kunnen voordoen.
