Over: Lifelong dog lover offering reliable care! I grew up with pups and have my own friendly dog. I provide walks and visits, follow your schedule, and treat your pet like family. Although I work full-time, I always make sure the dogs in my care get plenty of exercise, attention, and love. I work alternating shifts, which gives me flexibility throughout the day. Even when I have an early shift, I'm used to early mornings, so getting up at 4 a.m. isn't a problem for me. Dogs staying with me will enjoy at least four walks a day: one in the morning, one in the afternoon, and two more walks before bedtime. I also spend a lot of time outdoors with my own dog, so your dog will have plenty of opportunities to explore, exercise, and have fun. I understand that every dog has different needs. If your dog prefers to walk alone or isn't comfortable with other dogs, I'm more than happy to take them on separate walks. I don't use a crate unless that's part of your dog's normal routine and you specifically request it. My goal is to make every dog feel safe, comfortable, and at home while they're with me. I can easily take care of your dog's or cats special needs, my own dog is allergic to chicken and is very picky. I have lots of patience and I would care for it as for my own baby.

“Cristina and Guillaume were wonderful pet sitters. Aki stayed with them for five nights, and he was happy and comfortable throughout his stay. We really appreciated that they took him on plenty of walks, keeping him active, and they spent lots of time playing with him as well. Major highlight for us was how frequently (3+ times/day) they kept us updated. After every walk, they sent us messages and lots of photos, so we always knew how Aki was doing. It gave us great peace of mind while we were away. Cristina even sewed a couple of Aki’s toys after he destroyed them! Over: Ik ben een onwijs grote dieren liefhebber en ben opgegroeid met twee katten. Ook heb ik veel honden om mij heen gehad en ook ervaring met oppassen op beide dieren. Ik heb veel tijd dit jaar i.v.m. afstuderen en mis de diertjes om mij heen. Ik zou het heel leuk vinden om een vaste honden of katten oppasser te worden! Momenteel ben ik bezig met afstuderen aan mijn studie Allround Creative Concept devoloper aan Academie Artemis. Omdat ik maar 1 fysieke dag in de week heb en mijn werk ‘s avonds (thuis) is, lijkt het me leuk wat meer op te passen doordeweeks. Zeker met hondjes kom je zo lekker buiten en ik mis de liefde van diertjes een beetje aangezien ik zelf ik Amsterdam geen huisdieren heb. Ik heb zelf geen tuin, alleen een dakterras. Wel woon ik aan het park en heb ik een auto om naar het Amsterdamse bos te gaan bijvoorbeeld! Honden zijn thuis welkom alleen heb ik wel twee trappen dus moet het hondje of trap kunnen lopen of te tillen zijn!

I’ve been a cat owner for over ten years. In total, my parents and I have cared for three cats, and we’re lucky to still share our lives with two of them. Like many cat families, we have the full spectrum of personalities: a fluffy cuddle-lover and a more gothic, distant–yet-affectionate soul. What has always amazed me about cats is the way they teach us to see companionship differently. Being together while each doing our own thing feels like the purest form of company. Their smallest moments of joy or excitement genuinely make my day. I don’t catsit for the money—which is also why I ask for the minimum possible price on the app—but because after spending a few years without cats, I realised just how much I missed their presence. Ik respecteer de gewoontes van het dier, zorg voor een vertrouwde sfeer en geef regelmatig updates aan de eigenaar. Of het nu gaat om voeding, beweging of medicatie – ik ben alert en toegewijd aan het welzijn van het dier.

Mijn ervaring: Ik ben opgegroeid met kleine (asiel)hondjes thuis en in 2011 heb ik voor het eerst een maand vrijwilligerswerk gedaan in Spanje bij een hondenasiel. In de jaren daaropvolgend heb ik in verschillende buitenlandse asielen vrijwilligerswerk gedaan (zie foto's). Daar heb ik toen ook mijn eerste hondje geadopteerd toen ze 10 jaar oud was. Ik heb in 2019 een opleiding gedaan over hondengedrag en heb natuurlijk van mijn eigen hondjes ook veel geleerd. Mijn tweede hondje heb ik in 2020 geadopteerd, ook op latere leeftijd. Eind 2024 is zij overleden en sindsdien heb ik besloten om hondenoppas te worden, want ik miste het gezelschap wel! Ik heb dus veel ervaring met (oude) hondjes en heb zelfs nog een hondenbuggy hier thuis staan voor als jouw hondje wel mee wil op lange wandelingen, maar dat niet meer goed kan. Daarnaast werk ik ook als vrijwilliger elke vrijdag bij een hondendagopvang waar de honden in een groep samen zijn, waardoor ik nog meer leer over hondengedrag. Momenteel studeer ik thuis (Besluit Houders van Dieren; honden en katten) en werk ik een dag in de week als kinderoppas (10 en 12 jaar oud). Daar is de hond altijd welkom. Wat belangrijk is om te weten: Ik woon alleen en als de hond voor vakantieopvang naar mij toekomt, moet de hond wel even zonder stress alleen thuis kunnen zijn. Ik wil namelijk wel boodschappen kunnen doen of naar mijn dansles kunnen gaan zonder dat de hond dan thuis in paniek raakt. Honden zijn bij mij welkom in het hele huis, ook op de bank (samen een filmpje kijken is wel zo gezellig!). Ze mogen alleen niet op mijn bed komen, maar als je hondje blijft slapen dan staat er altijd een fijn hondenbed naast mijn bed (of zijn/haar eigen bed). Honden zijn natuurlijk groepsdieren en daar houd ik graag rekening mee. Ik ben het gewend dat ik ze overal mee naartoe neem in de auto en zo min mogelijk alleen laat. Ik vind het juist leuk als de hond overal mee naartoe kan.

For their safety, I highly recommend crating puppies under 2 years old and any dog with a pattern of chewing or swallowing household items (remotes, pillows, etc.) when you are not home. Crate-trained pets will be crated per the owner’s instructions. Having an 11-year-old husky means I have had my fair share of experience with unexpected veterinary visits and emergencies. I am comfortable communicating symptoms to veterinary professionals with thorough details as needed. I have years of experience monitoring pets’ symptoms when they are sick, providing at home first aid, and acting quickly when additional care is needed. Veterinary Care & Emergency Transport Policy: While veterinary care and especially emergency veterinary care is a rare circumstance of a booking, pets can be unpredictable. When a medical facility advises veterinary care based on a description of symptoms over the phone, pet sitter will advise seeking veterinary care. If pet owner objects to seeking veterinary care when medically necessary, pet owner will be responsible for either taking over care of their pet themselves or securing a different caregiver expeditiously. To ensure the pet sitter is adequately compensated in extenuating circumstances, please be advised that for any unexpected or emergency travel or transport over 10 miles away, a fee of $1/mile (for example: if required to drive 40 miles roundtrip, the fee will be $20) will be applied to your booking. An additional charge will also be applied to the cost of your booking at an hourly rate starting at the time of departure to the vet and ending at the time of either arrival to your home or, if your pet is required to stay at the vet, departure from the vet + time it would take to travel to the pet sitter’s home from the vet (for boarding clients, mileage will be calculated based on the roundtrip to the vet from pet sitter’s home). This will include any additional trips back and forth to and from the vet to visit or pick up your pet based on the roundtrip to the vet from pet sitter’s or your home. Hourly rates are as follows: 8am-5pm: $10/hr 5pm-10pm: $12/hr 10pm-8am: $16/hr Holidays & Weekends: $18/hr *veterinary emergency room visit wait times can exceed 8 hours on weekends and holidays Cleaning & Vehicle Damage Policy: If pet sitter is required to clean up bodily fluids due to illness (vomit, urine, blood, diarrhea, etc) in order to maintain a safe environment in your home, their own home, or their personal vehicle, a one-time fee of $40 will be applied to your booking. The pet sitter will also require reimbursement by the pet owner for any cleaning supplies that are not readily available in the pet owner’s home. If the pet sitter’s vehicle is damaged by your pet or requires professional cleaning, the pet sitter will require reimbursement for repairs and cleaning fees by the pet owner. Injury To Pet Sitter Policy: If, under any circumstance, the pet sitter is injured by a pet, the pet sitter will require reimbursement for related medical expenses by the pet owner. I’m a small business owner and work from home, taking care of my own 10 year old female Siberian Husky named Luna, and can easily accommodate some other furry friends! I have a fenced in secured back yard with multiple spotlights and security cameras, alarm system in my home which is set any time I’m away from home without my dog, and at night regardless. We have a clean 2 story home with 2k square feet of interior space and a large fenced in private back yard with a (6.5ft fence). My wife also works from home and is a highly experienced Rover sitter herself, and we treat all pups like our own!

Ik ben vaak thuis dus ik heb alle aandacht voor de dieren, er komt niet vaak bezoek dus daarom lijkt het mij ook leuk om wat gezelschap thuis te hebben. Daarnaast ben ik erg alert en heb ik een groot verantwoordelijkheidsgevoel. Ik hoop op deze manier mijn leven een positieve kleur te geven ! Ik ben erg geduldig en kan goed de energie van mens en dier aanvoelen. Vrienden en familie zouden mij omschrijven als lief, geduldig en zorgzaam. Ik heb ervaring met zowel katten als honden maar ook kleine knaagdieren, reptielen en vogels, alle dieren zijn in principe welkom. Wij wonen in een rijtjeshuis van 143 vierkantemeter met tuin, in de omgeving is veel groen waar ook genoeg uitlaat plaatsen zijn, dit betekend dat er korte maar ook lange wandelingen gemaakt kunnen worden. Ik hoop dat we snel kennis kunnen maken ! Ik werk veel vanuit huis en ben daardoor vrijwel altijd thuis. Dat betekent dat ik alle tijd en aandacht heb voor de verzorging van huisdieren. Mijn dagindeling is flexibel, waardoor ik gemakkelijk wandelmomenten, voedingstijden en speeltijd kan aanpassen aan de behoeften van het dier. Het gezelschap van een dier past dus perfect in mijn dagelijkse routine. Bij verzorging bij mij thuis zorg ik voor een rustige, veilige en huiselijke omgeving. Ik woon in een woning van 143 m² met een tuin, waar dieren voldoende ruimte hebben om te ontspannen en spelen. Er komt weinig tot geen bezoek, wat zorgt voor rust en stabiliteit. Ik houd de routine van het dier zo veel mogelijk aan, met vaste voedingstijden, wandelingen en rustmomenten. Elk dier krijgt persoonlijke aandacht en wordt met liefde verzorgd alsof het mijn eigen huisdier is. Bij verzorging bij het baasje thuis volg ik nauwkeurig de instructies op. Ik respecteer de gewoontes van het dier, zorg voor een vertrouwde sfeer en geef regelmatig updates aan de eigenaar. Of het nu gaat om voeding, beweging of medicatie – ik ben alert en toegewijd aan het welzijn van het dier.
Over: Ik heb mijn hondje als een maand oude puppy in het bos gevonden en sindsdien zijn we samen. Ze is mijn eerste eigen hond, maar ik krijg regelmatig complimenten over hoe goed ze is opgevoed. Ik heb een jaar de tijd gekomen om haar op te voeden en te trainen, daarna ben ik enkele jaren met haar gaan backpacken. Hierdoor ben ik het gewend om altijd controle over mijn hond te hebben, ongeacht wat voor situatie we in zijn. Ook heb ik regelmatig contact met andere honden of pas ik op andere honden/dieren van vrienden en familie, en heb ik op verschillende boerderijen gewerkt. Ik ben echt een dieren mens en over het algemeen zijn dieren snel en makkelijk met mij in omgang. Momenteel ben ik vrij van verplichtingen en heb ik dus veel tijd en ben ik flexibel qua planning. Ik geef de voorkeur aan langere termijn housesitting. I will take my time to get to know your dog, and to introduce him/her to Kiwi. If necessary this can be done on neutral terrain or a walk. My own dog gets food twice per day, she is okay with other dogs but if necessary they can be kept apart while eating. Normally I walk her one to three times a day, depends on the weather, time, etc. For your dog I will follow the instructions you provide and take care that the dogs will be social to each other, or at best tolerate and respect each other.
Over: Hi! I'm Jess and I am a dog mom to 12-year-old Siberian Husky, Luna. She is a sweet, energetic, confident dog who loves all kinds of people and other dogs. She has lived and traveled all over the U.S. (over 20 states!) and now has made her way with us across the ocean to The Netherlands. Even before becoming a Rover sitter, I cared for friends' and neighbors' dogs on many occasions including a beagle, a husky and a golden retriever and grew up with shih tzu and a cockapoo, who I loved to play with and walk around the neighborhood. Before moving to The Netherlands, we most recently lived in Richmond, Virginia and enjoyed walking the many urban hiking trails and parks together. Since I started pet sitting through Rover, I have stayed with and looked after all of different kinds of pups including senior pups, puppies, and all different sizes of dogs from toy to large. I’ve also cared for other caged pets in the same home like rabbits when needed. I care for them all like they are my very own Luna girl. My husband is also a Rover sitter and will sometimes accompany me. David has always been a dog lover and loves to give my clients some extra attention while you’re away. He is also a U.S. Coast Guard Veteran and as such is very good under pressure/does not hesitate to act when dealing with anything out of the ordinary like illness or injury. I work remotely and part-time and have plenty of flexibility to accommodate your pet’s unique routine and needs during the week or on the weekend. <~~>~~<~~>~~<~~>~~<~~> Pet and Pet Sitter Safety: I have stayed with dogs who have easy access to a fenced outdoor space and with those who do not, so I am comfortable with ensuring leashes and/or gates are always secure. I’ve also stayed with dogs who are crated and am comfortable with crate commands. For their safety, I highly recommend crating puppies under 2 years old and any dog with a pattern of chewing or swallowing household items (remotes, pillows, etc.) when you are not home. Crate-trained pets will be crated per the owner’s instructions. Having an 11-year-old husky means I have had my fair share of experience with unexpected veterinary visits and emergencies. I am comfortable communicating symptoms to veterinary professionals with thorough details as needed. I have years of experience monitoring pets’ symptoms when they are sick, providing at home first aid, and acting quickly when additional care is needed. Veterinary Care & Emergency Transport Policy: While veterinary care and especially emergency veterinary care is a rare circumstance of a booking, pets can be unpredictable. When a medical facility advises veterinary care based on a description of symptoms over the phone, pet sitter will advise seeking veterinary care. If pet owner objects to seeking veterinary care when medically necessary, pet owner will be responsible for either taking over care of their pet themselves or securing a different caregiver expeditiously. To ensure the pet sitter is adequately compensated in extenuating circumstances, please be advised that for any unexpected or emergency travel or transport, pet sitter will provide receipts and apply a charge for reimbursement of costs incurred to your booking. An additional charge will also be applied to the cost of your booking at an hourly rate starting at the time of departure to the vet and ending at the time of either arrival to your home or, if your pet is required to stay at the vet, departure from the vet + time it takes to travel to the pet sitter’s home from the vet. This will include any additional trips back and forth to and from the vet to visit or pick up your pet based on the roundtrip to the vet from pet sitter’s or your home. Hourly rates are as follows: 8am-5pm: €10/hr 5pm-10pm: €12/hr 10pm-8am: €16/hr Holidays & Weekends: €18/hr *veterinary emergency room visit wait times can exceed 8 hours on weekends and holidays Cleaning & Vehicle Damage Policy: If pet sitter is required to clean up bodily fluids due to illness (vomit, urine, blood, diarrhea, etc) in order to maintain a safe environment in your home, their own home, or their personal vehicle, a one-time fee of €40 will be applied to your booking. The pet sitter will also require reimbursement by the pet owner for any cleaning supplies that are not readily available in the pet owner’s home. Injury To Pet Sitter Policy: If, under any circumstance, the pet sitter is injured by a pet, the pet sitter will require reimbursement for related medical expenses by the pet owner.

Over: I began working with animals in 2016 through Paws and Claws, an independent daycare and dog walking service in the UK. My responsibilities included walking, feeding, and caring for dogs throughout the morning and afternoon. I was also responsible for pick-up and drop-off, which involved being trusted with access to clients’ homes. Alongside this, I carried out house calls to help socialise dogs or check in on those who didn’t require a full day of on-site daycare. At the daycare facility, I comfortably handled groups of up to ten dogs of varying breeds, sizes, and temperaments on walks in the local woodlands. As demand grew, I expanded my services to include house and pet sitting across several nearby villages and towns. Over the years, I have cared for a wide range of animals, including dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, and guinea pigs, and I am also happy to tend to gardens or house plants when needed. After moving to Utrecht for my studies, I began offering my own dog walking and pet sitting services to pet owners that I met in the city or at surrounding walking spots. I work a few days a week at a dog daycare organisation on a rural farmland property outside of Amsterdam. On my working days, if I am looking after a dog, I like to bring them with me so that they can socialise with the pack. All transport is done using a fully converted, dog-friendly wagon with additional AC (and lots of cookies!). If a dog needs to be left alone or doesn't get along with other dogs, this can also be easily accommodated during the day in a safe, penned-off area at the facility. On my days off, I am entirely flexible and work from home while finishing my Master's thesis, making my routine highly compatible with dedicated pet care. I live with my girlfriend in a large, multi-room apartment in the Rivierenbuurt neighbourhood of Amsterdam. The location is convenient for dogs and humans alike, being just a short walk from several metro stations and with easy drop-off outside via street access. We are lucky to be located just a stone's throw away from Beatrixpark and Martin Luther Kingpark, with the Amstel and the Amsterdamse Bos close by, providing some wonderful green spaces right on our doorstep for daily walks. Our apartment has two balconies (one of which gets the sun all day long ☀️☀️☀️) and plenty of comfy space inside for dogs to relax. All my dog guests get an entire room to themselves to ensure they have their own quiet and safe space to rest—unless, of course, they prefer to cuddle up with us on the sofa or in bed... Over: Dogs have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. My family had three dogs over the years, and I looked after each one from puppy all the way to senior age, including all the extra care and patience that comes with an older dog. Most recently, I took care of a dog that needed daily medicine and treatment for a ripped paw pad, so I'm comfortable with health routines too, not just walks. I've also worked as a dog walker and sitter, and whether it's your dog or my own, I treat them all the same way: like family. As a freelancer, I mostly work from home, which gives me a lot of flexibility during the day. That means I can fit in walks, feedings, or check-ins at times that actually work for your schedule, not just early mornings or evenings. It also means I'm not rushing between appointments, so your dog or cat gets my full attention while I'm there. When pets stay with me, they have plenty of room to settle in. My apartment has a big, spacious living room and kitchen area, and I usually set up a cozy corner just for them so they always have a safe spot to retreat to, while still being free to roam and explore the rest of the apartment. I let them explore at their own pace and approach me when they're ready, rather than the other way around. I might try to make contact with a treat here and there, but I never force it if they're not comfortable yet. For walks, I'm lucky to live close to three parks, so there's always a good spot nearby to stretch their legs.
