Over: Hi! I’m Joana, and I work as mechanical engineer living in Eindhoven. While my professional background is in engineering, animals have always been my true passion. Since childhood I always loved animals, and grew up with both dogs and cats. However, my first pet was a free-roaming rabbit named Maria who slept in my room and acted more like a dog than a bunny. I grew up in Portugal, where I became deeply involved in animal rescue in my hometown, where unfortunately there are a lot of stray animals. I fostered my first cat at 15 (it took a lot of convincing my parents!), and since then, I’ve cared for over 30 foster cats, many of them neonates or sick rescues, including pregnant cats that I've assisted during birth. Because of all of this, I am well versed in dealing with most cat illnesses, and I have a special needs cat myself :) I also worked closely with the local shelter in Portugal, supporting TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) programs, walking shelter dogs, and socializing shy or traumatized animals. Unfortnately, after moving to the Netherlands, I couldn't foster anymore, since I live in an apartment that doesn't allow that, but I do have 3 furr babies that I love more than words can express. However, I still volunteer at the shelter (ROZE) every Sunday where I clean the cat spaces, check health, and help socialize “spicy” cats and kittens. I know from experience how hard it can be to leave your pet at home while you're on holidays and how difficult it can be to find a trustworthy sitter for your pet. I truly think of pets as family members and treat them as such, so you can expect a lot of dedication from my side, and the comfort of knowing that your pet is in safe hands. I provide home visits, dog walks, and overnight stays depending on your needs. I'm especially comfortable with shy, senior, or special-needs animals, and I always treat pets with love, patience, and respect. I speak fluent English and Portuguese, so you can expect as many updates as you want while you are away. Let me know how I can help care for your furry family member! I work from home most days so taking care of pets is quite easy for me. It doesn't feel like a job, more of a break from my daily work as an engineer :) I have my own three cats, one with special needs, so I am very used to balancing my work life with my animal's life, who I truly consider my family 💕 Having my own fur babies, and rescuing cats and dogs for as long as I can remember, I know how difficult it is to trust your pet to a stranger. Over: Since the day I was born I was surrounded by all kinds of animals (dogs, cats, rabbits, horses…) All of my family members are big animal lovers, therefore I grew up also like one :) In lithuania I had two amazing dogs, but after I came to the Netherlands for my studies, I really started missing the interaction with those increadibly friendly and amazing beings. That is why I am looking to “babysit” dogs here - simply to experience the same joy I was experiencing back home, while also helping out other people that don’t have as much time to give to their beloved little friends :) I’m currently working in a hybrid way, which means that I am home on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and sometimes Mondays, so I would have a lot of time to bond and spend time with the little friend :) I live in an apartment with a balkony. The balcony is never being left open and during colder seasons, it doesn’t even get opened at all, so would be no fear of pets escaping or injuring themselves. Here in the Netherlands I don’t have any pets. The apartment has 3 rooms, so the pet would have space to have fun and explore :)

The main reason I’m on this app is because I really miss my dogs and cats back home. So I would be more than happy to provide you the service of taking care of your pets!! I’m currently studying International Business at the Fontys university of Applied Sciences, in Eindhoven. Currently, I’m in the second year. My schedule is quite flexible, my school hours are usually from 13:30-17:30. But it can vary. Either way, I ensure good and proper communication with every client about my availability!! When dogs stay at my house, I tend to just cuddle with them and make sure they go on enough potty breaks, usually 3-4 times per day. I also make sure to take them to a dog park (if it’s possible with your pet) and let them play and tire out a bit. When it comes to sleeping, usually with small dogs I bring them to my room and let them sleep on the bed or on the floor (depending on your preference) and with larger dogs I tend to sleep with them downstairs on my couch haha!

Over: I’ve taken care of various pets since I was 10 years old. From puppies to senior dogs, neighbours grumpy cats, Rabbits, Guinea pigs, hamsters, fish and even african land snails! I’m able to provide round the clock care monday through sunday from my own home so i’ll have all the time needed to take care of your pets! I have a small fenced yard that your pets will have access to, I also have a gated porch that they can relax on and people watch if they enjoy! Is your pet clingy and needs attention 24/7? No problem! Does your pet like to hide away? Also no problem, we’re a quiet household and have a spare room where a crate can be set up if necessary.

Over: I've had dogs since childhood, with some interruptions. I also have had a dog and cat in adult life, but currently work too much to take care of a furry friend for myself. I do miss them dearly, so this would be the perfect solution! Can't wait to meet them! I work in shifts, so there's a morning-evening routine going on, which means I'll be able to take them in on the mornings and evenings! I work 4 days a week, with Tuesdays off, and have most weekends off as well! I've got a big house where nothing is off limits. They're free to roam, and ofcourse also into the fenced backyard! I've got a big park nearby, and the forest is only 15 minutes walking away!
