My top priorities are safety, respect, thoroughness, and consistency. I follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding, medications, walks, playtime, and enrichment. I always ensure doors, gates, and crates are secure, keep leashes properly fitted, and never allow off leash activity unless explicitly approved. I use safe handling techniques, and I adjust to meet each pet’s comfort and needs. I treat every home with respect by keeping things clean, locking up properly, and providing detailed updates with photos so owners feel confident and informed. My goal is for pets to feel comfortable and cared for, and for you to be stress free while away.

I try to tailor activities for the pup in question. Brain teasers and snuffle mats work well for puppies and high energy breeds, while a good brushing or some Austin FC matches work better for my couch inclined pups, but I prefer to know from you so I can show up prepared!

Hi! I’m Zachary, and I’ve been caring for animals my entire life. I spent 5 years as a manager at a doggy daycare, boarding, and training facility, where I worked with dogs of all ages, breeds, sizes, and temperaments. My experience includes supervising play groups, administering medications, reinforcing basic training, and ensuring dogs are safe, happy, and well cared for while their owners are away. I grew up around dogs and truly understand their needs, body language, and routines. Whether your dog is high energy, shy, puppy, senior, extra small, or over 200 lbs, I’m confident adapting my care to help them feel comfortable and secure. I’m also a cat owner to two cats, so I’m very familiar with feline care, personalities, and respecting boundaries. I know how important it is for cats to maintain calm, consistency, and their normal routine. My goal is always to provide reliable, attentive, and compassionate care, treating every pet as if they were my own. I look forward to giving you peace of mind becoming your pets second favorite human!

It only took a couple of minutes at the start of the pre-engagement meeting and for it to become clear to me that Zach is an excellent experienced dog handler. My own experience with dogs includes training Australian Shepherds for sheep herding competitions and I have qualified for national competition twice. My yardstick for rating a dog handler has a correspondingly higher bar. So along with my complement was that quick understanding that I didn’t need to know anything else and that my dog was is as safe hands as she could be in. People simply don’t reach Zach’s level of engaging with dogs without also demonstrating to the dog that the dog is in anything other than very safe hands and that doesn’t happen if it’s not actually true. So with my and the dog’s approval, Zach was hired and lived up to both mine and the dog’s expectations. No problem.
Zachary was wonderful with my little dog, Cinnamon! I could tell she was having a great time with his walks and visits and she is not the easiest dog in the world. I will definitely rebook in the future!
Zachary does an amazing job with taking care of my Kodi! He has fabulous communication skills and is so kind. He is very thorough on taking care of my dog and always makes sure to send photos. He goes above and beyond by making sure my dog feels loved and cared for. He takes him for walks which is AMAZING! Zachary always has such a positive and happy attitude to him that makes him such a great sitter. I know my dog gets excited when Zachary comes to watch him. As long as Zachary is on this app and has availability I will be booking with him!
Zachary was fantastic with my dogs. Always sent me lots of pictures and always kept me updated! It’s clear that he cared about them and treated them well.
