I adore dogs and cats and will care for your animals as if they're my own. I’m passionate about animal welfare and have volunteered with the Maryland SPCA, Angel City Pit Bulls, The Dog Cafe, Jefferson County Humane Society, and Cloverleaf Equine Center (formerly known as Northern Virginia Therapeutic Riding Program). I've been pet-sitting for neighbors, friends, and clients since high school. I'm available for watching your animals in your home, drop-in visits, and dog walks. I’m trained in pet CPR and first aid through Rescue Encore. I have knowledge of animal behavior, a commitment to using ethical & effective training/handling methods, and a willingness to customize service depending on the dog's/cat's needs. Every animal is different! Some dogs enjoy going to the park and some don't, some are shy or stressed out by other dogs, some need more active playtime and some prefer more petting or cuddles. I'm happy to reinforce whatever humane training methods you are already using with your dogs. I have experience watching animals with all sorts of needs, including blind and diabetic dogs and senior cats. I know how to and am comfortable administering oral and injectible medicine. What it's like working with me: We'll ideally schedule a Meet and Greet so I can meet you and your animals at your home or a location they're comfortable in. We'll review any behavioral issues or triggers, dietary restrictions, medical needs, and any other special instructions. Once we move forward, I'll need the contact info for your animal's vet and contact info for a local emergency contact is you'll be unreachable while you're away. My goal is to get all the necessary information from you to ensure you feel confident and comfortable trusting me with the care of your dog, cat, or other animal(s).
