Hello! I am currently doing a Master’s degree in Animal Sciences (Animal Nutrition). My passion for animals inspired me to choose this field of study, and I have gained professional knowledge in pet nutrition, feed formulation, and animal behavior. Although I do not keep a pet permanently, I have one and a half year of experience in pet sitting here in the Netherlands, including cats and dogs. During this time, I have cared for different breeds including Golden Retrievers, Labradors, and especially a Shih Tzu named Cola, whom I looked after for around six months. Cola was full of energy (you cannot imagine how such a small dog can be so energetic!), so I walked him three times a day, went jogging together, and visited the dog park twice a week. Since he was not neutered, I was always very attentive to him and other dogs played with him. I live in a student studio in Wageningen, right next to a big forest and only 500 m away from a pet park. Pets in my care will have plenty of space and opportunities for outdoor activities. As I spend most of my time studying from home, I have lots of time to give dogs and cats the love, attention, and exercise they need.

Xiangyu has looked after our cat who can be quite difficult around strangers. Within a few days she was already walking around and let Xiangyu pet her, she even gave biscuits. You can tell Xiangyu is a real animal lover and took very good care of our cat. She has sent us multiple pictures during the day, we really appreciated that. We would leave our cat in the hands of Xiangyu again to look after her and we really recommend Xiangyu!
Xiangyu is a cheerful and responsible person who truly loves animals from the heart. She has rich experience caring for both large and small dogs and communicates very well with pet owners. Her warm personality and genuine kindness make her a trustworthy and loving pet caregiver.

In general, I walk dogs at least three times a day, and since I study from home, I can provide plenty of companionship — for example, by hiding treats and playing with toys.
Une journée type
On a typical day, I start with a nice morning walk with the dog, followed by breakfast and some rest time. During the day, I enjoy playing with the pets, giving them cuddles, and hiding treats or toys for mental stimulation. I make sure they feel happy, safe, and loved throughout the day.
