As I am currently not working I can dedicate my time and full attention to animals staying with us. I know leaving your pet with strangers can be nerve wracking so I also send regular updates & pictures of what we are up to and how the day went. I also do Whatsapp chats once we exchanged phone numbers so you can reach me any time. I do strictly one owner at a time for Boarding and Day Care so once you’re booked in and confirmed you can be a 100% sure that your dog / cat doesn’t have to share the space with any other unknown animal. I will always follow your instructions for the day (feeding, walks, exercise, play time, training) and I am aware that each breed has different requirements and specifics.

All animals are treated like family, they are where we are (my husband and I) when looking after them. If they need space I provide them with a quiet area in the house or if they fancy being with me / us they are happy to join us on the couch, in the kitchen while cooking or upstairs. All dogs and cats are free to go in the garden and they are supervised at all times, despite having 2 secure gates and secure fencing all around us (1.6m-3m high). All cats are kept indoors for the night and the majority of the day unless their owner says it otherwise. We do not have a cat flap so they cannot sneak out accidentally. We also have 2 vet practices nearby should I ever need it.

I always appreciate knowing about any special needs, routines, medical requirements, or behaviours ahead of time so I can provide the best care possible. This includes feeding schedules, exercise preferences, training cues, fears, triggers, or how they interact with other animals and people. The more I know, the better I can help your pet feel comfortable, safe, and understood while you’re away. Please feel free to bring frozen or cooked food if that’s their diet. I am also happy to discuss cooking for them if that’s what they are used to.
A typical day
A typical day is tailored to each pet’s needs and energy level. I focus on both physical and mental stimulation through walks and playtime and also allow room for time out to avoid over stimulation. I make sure pets stay engaged, happy, and relaxed throughout the day and stick with their routine to help them settle in faster.

** Please note: I can only accept dogs that are comfortable walking on a loose leash and do not pull excessively. If your dog is still working on their leash manners or is a strong puller, I'm unfortunately not the right sitter for them. Thank you for understanding.** I grew up surrounded by animals, including rabbits, ferrets, fish, and dogs of all sizes from large breeds like Cane Corso & Doberman to small breeds that I love just as much. I’m confident and calm around dogs and never force interaction. I have breed specific experience (Cocker Spaniel, Cane Corso, Doberman, Border Collie) to know what each breed needs in terms of attention, activity, mental and physical stimulation. I will always follow your instructions & daily routine to allow your dog the time and space to settle in and also to gain their trust. I don’t try to replace you or assume I know your dog better than you do. Instead, I focus on making them feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed, especially if they’re unsure why you are not around. I’m patient, observant, and respectful of each dog’s individual personality and routine, and I keep in mind breed specific traits and behavioural norms. During your dog’s stay I will keep you updated with pictures, videos and stories about what we’ve been up to during the day. You will have my personal phone number and I’m always contactable on Whatsapp & Rover. I only take 1 dog at a time or 2 dogs maximum from the same household to ensure your dog has all my attention and free time. Before booking me & paying for the stay I always arrange meet & greets so you can come over, alone or with your family, to see where your furry family member would stay during their time away from you. We live near a woodland area, there’s a big park nearby and I often take more active breeds out for a walk in the car (3 times a day) to other parks and forests. I’m also happy to care for other animals if needed, feel free to message me to discuss. The only exceptions are spiders and snakes, which I’m genuinely terrified of, so I unfortunately can’t help with those.

Vivien and her husband looked after our cocker spaniel Bailey whilst we were on holiday. They was so attentive to Bailey and really did make her feel part of their family. This was the first time we had left our dog with someone for a long period of time and Vivien was so reassuring with lots of updates and videos of how Bailey was getting on. They are such a lovely couple and it is clear how much they adore animals. Vivien kept to the routine we have and her training which was amazing. I would highly recommend Vivien as a pet sitter and we would use her every time we need a sitter in the future.
