I recently graduated from a master's program and I'm searching for full-time employment. Because of that, I don't yet know what my weekdays will look like in the long-term. In the short-term, I work part-time for a landscaping company, so I may be gone for 3-8 hours a day if I'm asked to work that day, but that's not usually planned until the day before. Due to this schedule, I likely cannot accommodate dogs that can't be left alone for that long. Drop-offs and pickups can happen anytime between 7 am and 9 pm.

Information Virginia "Ginger" H. would like to know about your pet
My insurance requires that all dogs I watch are up to date on their vaccinations, so I’ll need you to confirm that they are. Also let me know ahead of time if your dog has any special needs. If their day with me will include feeding, let me know what their typical schedule looks like so I can match it. I’d also like to know how much and what kind of activity they usually engage in so I can match that as well!
A typical day
When I have a dog over, I usually let them out into the backyard as soon as I get up. I'll have breakfast and then take them on a walk, maybe 30-60 mins. We'll go out into the backyard throughout the day after that and take another medium-long walk in the afternoon or evening. They'll go out one last time right before bed or anytime they want to be in the backyard. On weekends, I may leave for errands during the day but I will limit my away time to the number of hours you list on the dog's profile for the number of hours they can be alone.

One-on-One Care for Dogs
Pet care experience
Hi there, I’m a friendly dog lover with 12 years of experience caring for dogs. My own elderly Pekingese passed away recently and watching dogs helps fill that hole in my heart just a little. I live with my husband in a first-floor apartment in Logan Square (very few steps - for those old dogs!). I usually only take one dog at a time, but I'm happy to watch two dogs at once if they are from the same household, so your pup(s) will get lots of personal attention. I have a fenced in backyard with a garden and I live right next to the Schuylkill River Trail for excellent walks. I also live nearby a dog park for extra playtime. I’m a very active person so I may even ask to take your dog on a hike or nature walk at the John Heinz Wildlife Refuge. I also have experience in dogs with special needs including senior care, blindness, deafness, mobility issues, and administering medication. I am also comfortable dealing with small dogs that may have aggressive/behavioral issues. If you have two big dogs you'd like me to sit, my only request is that they are trained not to pull on the leash, since I'm not sure I can control two big dogs that pull at the same time. With regard to my schedule: I recently graduated from a master's program and I'm searching for full-time employment. Because of that, I don't yet know what my weekdays will look like in the long-term future. In the short-term, I work part-time for a landscaping company, so I may be gone for 3-8 hours a day if I'm asked to work that day, but that's not usually planned until the day before. Due to this schedule, I likely cannot accommodate dogs that can't be left alone for that long. Lastly, please make sure all dogs are up to date on their vaccinations. My insurance requires this! I’ll confirm with you at the time of booking.

Amazing Ginger!! Thank you for taking care of Paya over the weekend! We will be back! 😻🫶🙏

We appreciate Ginger (and Phil) so much! Our Rico and Margo are characters for sure, each with their own little quirks and needs, but Ginger is so amazing with them! She’s so caring and communicative, always making sure they’re happy and comfortable!

Ginger was great with Bruno. She sent multiple updates while we were away and made sure he was comfortable in her home and yard, even though he’s anxious.
Chewie always has an awesome time with Ginger!
