What sets me apart is that I don’t see pet sitting as simply watching a dog—I see it as becoming part of their little world while they’re in my care. I have years of experience caring for my own pets and dog sitting for friends and family, and I treat every dog like they’re part of my family. I’m also studying Animal Behavior with an emphasis on Companion Animal Behavior, so I’m passionate about understanding each dog’s unique personality, needs, and comfort level. My goal is for every pup to feel safe, loved, understood, and genuinely happy while they’re with me.

Vanessa is hands-down the best dog sitter I have ever worked with, and I’ve relied on her on numerous occasions. She cared for my senior dog—who required daily medication and wore diapers—with incredible patience, skill, and affection. My dogs absolutely adore her and look forward to seeing her every time. She treats every pet like her own and is exceptionally attentive, responsible, and trustworthy both with animals and inside my home. I never have to worry for a second when my dogs are in her care. Vanessa is, without a doubt, the best pet sitter we’ve ever worked with. Not only is she a kind and thoughtful person, but she is also professional, dependable, and takes her job seriously. She always takes wonderful care of Pippin, giving him the medications he needs, making sure he is eating and drinking, taking him on walks throughout the day, and giving our older boy lots of care and attention. Zeitplan
My schedule is very flexible! I work super part-time while taking classes, which gives me plenty of availability to accommodate different pet-sitting needs. I’m happy to work with your schedule and can often be flexible with weekdays, weekends, walks, drop-ins, and longer stays. I’ll always do my best to make caring for your pup as convenient and stress-free as possible.

Whether your pup stays in my home or I care for them in yours, my goal is always to make them feel safe, comfortable, and at ease. I welcome dogs into my home who are comfortable around other dogs, and I have my home set up with a variety of training and dog-care equipment to help make their stay as comfortable and stress-free as possible. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow the philosophy of **“leave it better than when you came in.”** I am extremely respectful of your space, your routines, and your home. I take pride in being clean, responsible, and discreet—so much so that you may come home wondering if I was even there, except for your happy pup waiting to greet you!

I’m lucky enough to live near so many amazing dog-friendly spots, so your pup won’t be stuck doing the same walk around the block! Depending on your dog’s personality, energy level, and comfort, I love exploring different places—from the beach and Golden Gate Park to Fort Funston and local city hiking trails. I also love adding in a little fun along the way, like a relaxing café pit stop after an adventure. Whether your pup is an energetic explorer or prefers a slower stroll with plenty of sniffing, I’ll make sure they get plenty of enrichment, exercise, and fun!

- Before caring for your pup, it’s really helpful for me to know their energy level, how socialized and comfortable they are around people and other dogs, and what commands they know. Understanding their personality, routines, and training helps me provide care that feels familiar and comfortable while keeping them safe, happy, and well supported.
