Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I’m already active and spend a lot of time outdoors walking, running, and getting fresh air, so adding dog walks and visits during the day works well for me. I especially enjoy midday walks when dogs often need a break, exercise, and some attention while their owners are at work. I’m reliable about scheduling and make sure I plan my day so each dog gets the time, movement, and care they need. I enjoy slowing down and giving dogs focused attention so they feel comfortable and cared for while we’re together.

When caring for pets, I try to follow the routine they are already used to so they feel comfortable and secure. In a client’s home, I focus on making sure dogs get the exercise, attention, and care they need while their owners are away. This usually includes walks or runs, fresh water, feeding if needed, and spending some time giving them attention so they don’t feel rushed or alone. I’m attentive to each dog’s energy level and personality and adjust walks and play accordingly. I also make sure to respect the client’s home by following any specific instructions and leaving everything as I found it. My goal is for both the dog and the owner to feel at ease while we’re spending time together.

I like to understand what a typical day looks like for them, including their preferred walk length, feeding schedule, and any favorite activities or toys. It’s also important to know about any medical needs, sensitivities, or behaviors I should be aware of, such as leash habits, fears, or how they interact with other dogs and adults/children. The more I know about what helps your pet feel comfortable and safe, the better I can care for them and keep their routine consistent while you’re away.
A typical day
I like to match activities to each dog’s energy level and personality. For many dogs that means going on walks or runs, exploring outside, and giving them a chance to sniff, move, and get some fresh air. If a dog enjoys play, I’m happy to spend time playing fetch, light games, or just engaging with them so they get both exercise and attention. For calmer or older dogs, I’m also happy to take things at a slower pace with relaxed walks and some quiet time and affection. My goal is for pets to feel stimulated, cared for, and relaxed by the time our visit or walk is over.

I grew up with big, energetic dogs, mostly labs and mutts, so caring for dogs has always been a natural part of my life. I’m very comfortable around active dogs and enjoy spending time outdoors walking, running, and playing with them. I know how important it is for our pups to get exercise, attention, and care during the day, especially when their people are busy with work. I’m happy to help by providing a midday walk or run and making sure your pup gets movement, stimulation, and affection. I’m comfortable with dogs of all ages and sizes and always aim to make them feel safe, cared for, and happy during our time together.
