Safety, trust & environment

When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on maintaining their normal routine so they feel comfortable and secure. During drop in visits, I make sure pets are fed on schedule, fresh water is provided, litter boxes are cleaned as needed, and any medications are given according to instructions. I spend quality time with each pet during visits, whether that means playtime, gentle companionship, or simply sitting with them if they prefer a calmer presence. For dogs, I provide safe, attentive walks suited to their energy level and comfort, followed by time to relax and settle back at home. I am respectful of each client’s home and follow all care instructions closely. My goal is for pets to feel calm, cared for, and well attended while their owners are away.

Information Tracy B. would like to know about your pet

As a pet owner I am very comfortable with various quirks and personalities. Before any visits, it’s really helpful to know about feeding schedules, portion sizes, any medications or health conditions, behavioural notes (shy, anxious, reactive, etc.), where food, treats, and supplies are kept, and any house rules or routines your pet is used to. The more I know upfront, the more seamless and stress-free the experience will be for your pet!

A typical day

Every visit is tailored to your pet’s personality. For dogs, walks are an adventure to them. I let them sniff, explore, and set the pace. If they are playful, we will mix in some fetch or active play time; if they prefer a leisurely stroll, we’ll keep it calm and enjoyable. For cats, drop-in visits include playtime with toys, plenty of pets and attention (if that is their preference), and just hanging out so they don’t feel lonely. I’m a cat owner myself, so I totally understand that cats have opinions, and I respect them!

Warm, Reliable Pet Care With Love

Pet care experience

I have had pets my entire life and cannot remember a time without animals. I grew up with cats and they have always been part of my life. During my teen and university years, my family also had a diabetic West Highland Terrier, and I was closely involved in his daily care. I have extensive experience caring for pets with medical needs. Our dog was diabetic, and I was responsible for administering insulin. Over the years, I have also cared for two diabetic cats, giving insulin injections and managing their routines. I am comfortable giving medication or drops to cooperative pets and understand the importance of consistency, calmness, and trust when providing medical care. I regularly care for cats and dogs for family and friends when they are away, providing drop in visits, dog walks, feeding, litter box maintenance, and medication as needed. I currently have two cats of my own and often cat sit my “grandcat,” so caring for multiple cats and maintaining routines is very familiar to me. I am comfortable with both cats and dogs of all ages and enjoy providing calm, nurturing care. For safety and wellbeing, I do not take on pets with aggressive behaviours.

Tracy took wonderful care of my cats for a full week. She is dependable, attentive, and genuinely caring with animals. It gave me great peace of mind knowing they were safe and well looked after. I would happily book her again and recommend her without hesitation.
