Hello and welcome! My name is Baris — thank you for visiting my profile. I’ve cared for a wide range of pets for over 15 years, including dogs, cats, fish, rabbits, tortoises, and guinea pigs, and I treat every one of them as a cherished member of the family. I’m calm, patient, and highly detail-oriented, with experience handling pets of all sizes, ages, and temperaments — from playful puppies and strong leash-pullers to shy rescues and seniors who need gentle reassurance. I also have an athletic build, which comes in handy when assisting with pets who need help with mobility, require lifting for transport, or simply have plenty of energy to burn during walks and playtime. My goal is always to help pets feel comfortable, secure, and happy in their own home and routine while you’re away. Communication and reliability are at the heart of how I work. I provide regular updates and photos, respond promptly, and approach every booking with professionalism, consistency, and genuine care. My daytime pet-care hours generally fall between 9 AM and 5 PM, and I’m happy to accommodate early or late visits and overnights with advance notice when possible.

At home, my family and I share our lives with several adopted cats, so I’m very familiar with the needs and rhythms of multi-pet households — from feeding and scooping to cleaning, playtime, and giving each pet the attention they deserve. I understand how important it is to maintain every animal’s individual routine, and I’ll follow your instructions carefully to ensure they feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away. For clients located farther from my base area, a small location surcharge may apply when travel exceeds approximately 19 minutes one-way; this typically includes certain areas such as parts of Jersey City, West New York, and Newark. I’m always happy to confirm travel details in advance before finalizing a booking.

Baris is truly exceptional. Holly absolutely loves him! The best proof are the binkies the moment he enteres her playpen. If you know rabbits, you know that’s the ultimate sign of trust and happiness. This was the second time I traveled and booked with him, and I will continue to do so. He is always on time and sends real-time pictures during his visits, and let me tell you, he is the best bun photographer I’ve ever seen! As a first-time Rover user I was incredibly anxious about leaving my sweet girl, Holly, for the first time. Finding someone who truly understands rabbits is hard, but Baris was absolutely amazing! From the very first visit, his professionalism and calm energy completely put my mind at ease. He provided detailed updates and wonderful photos that allowed me to actually be at ease instead of worrying. He clearly knows his way around small mammals and treated Holly with such kindness and care. Holly is naturally very shy, but she felt so happy and comfortable with Baris that she was even doing 'binkies' around him! Seeing her so joyful in the updates he sent was the highlight of my trip. Schedule
Outside of pet care, my sister and I enjoy running a small business creating hand-drawn pet portraits, and I’m an aspiring singer who performs with a local chorus in the New York City area. My rehearsal evenings are typically Monday and Thursday, which can keep some nights busy, but they also allow me to maintain a flexible daytime schedule — perfect for dependable, attentive care throughout the week, including most weekends and holidays. Other than those rehearsal nights, I’m generally available during the week for walks and in-home visits to keep your pets cared for and content.
