I was blessed to grow up in a household filled with love, plants, and pet hair! I have experience raising a variety of animals - from goats to dogs, cats to birds, and chickens to raccoons. Upon graduating high school I adopted a dog of my own whom I have cared for -and continue to care for - the last 13 years. Let's just say I am a seasoned pet owner through all the ups and downs! Beyond caring for my dog-child, I regularly house- and pet-sit for friends. I am reliable and trustworthy, and will care for you pet as if they are my own.

Tessa is an intentional and wonderful dog sitter and even better human. She handled my two German shepherds with ease and made sure their high-energy needs and Velcro tendencies were well taken care of. She also left our house in better shape than when she got there. If you are taking the time to read sitter reviews, you clearly love your pets, so look no further than Tessa!!
We were gone for 9 days total, and Tessa cared for Finley the entire time. Based on the few updates we received, Tessa took Finley to the dog park for daily exercise and gave her snuggles at night. We can back to the same energetic, happy pup. We were disappointed and a bit frustrated by the communication, or lack thereof, that we received from Tessa while we were away. We had to ask multiple times for photos/updates, and when we did receive them they were brief/minimal. At the end of our trip when we returned home, we received only a brief summary (a few sentences) of how things went. It was a little difficult to have peace of mind without consistent updates and photos, which is our preference. Overall, we are happy our pup was taken care of and that Tessa left the house in great shape; communication could definitely be improved upon, however.
Tessa is agreat to work with. We're definitely helicoptor dog parents, and have some special requirements for our dogs. Tessa took it all in stride and did a good job for us.

How I care for your animal is dependent on your pets needs. Several walks per day? No problem. Good off-leash? We can hike in the woods. Terrorizes the house while you are away? I can crate them. At this point, for me, pet care is a way of life. I have my own dog-child (13 year old) who will be accompanying me on my pet-sitting gigs. Our routine of scheduled feeding, walks, and time in the woods fits seamlessly into my day-to-day life. I do work as an acupuncturist outside of pet-sitting. My shifts vary on bookings but my scheduled days remain the same - Monday through Thursday with space in between clients to pop home and check on the fur babies. Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays I am free to spend quality time with your beloved.
