As of right now I’m doing Rover full time! However I do run a structured pack walk with dogs I’ve trained or have received previous training in the mornings and I also train Board and trains at my house/on pack walks. My schedule is open for early morning drop ins/walks, mid day, and evenings. I can do drop ins multiple times a day but please keep in mind I do not stay overnight. I can board your pup(s) overnight at my house if they have received training previously by another trainer or if they have been trained by me.

Safety, trust & environment

I provide loving care in the comfort of your pet’s own space! When we leave for trips or go to work it can often cause our pets to feel anxious or stressed and taking them away from the home they find most comforting can often worsen these feelings, especially in very chaotic environments like conventional boarding facilities. By keeping them in their own environment it can be more comforting than boarding them away from your home. This may also be more comforting for you too! For boarding your pup must be kennel trained for when I briefly the house and for meal times! However if your pup is boarding with me they will usually be out free roaming with my pups while I’m home and they will join me on my weekly pack walks as well! Safety and comfort are my top priority when it comes to pet sitting. Finding someone you can trust is very hard. I will try my very best to keep you as updated as possible by sending as many photos as I can as well as on every rover drop in card I will leave a description about what we did during the drop in so you aren’t left hanging! On walks I will do everything in my power to make sure your dog is safe and gets the time they need to sniff, explore, and do their business. I can drop in a few times a day if you are out of town or if you work long shifts and you’d prefer your pup to stay at home. I drop by and give potty breaks, food, water, play time, exercise, whatever your best friend may need I will try my best to provide it!

Information Tatum R. would like to know about your pet

Let me know if your pet has or needs any special attention, medication, or if they have behavioral issues. I can work around some behavioral problems! Dog reactive, human reactive, resource guarding or anything like that. I have experience with them and will do anything I can to prevent any unwanted accidents! (For any human reactive dogs a meet and greet in person is MANDATORY!!! It is possible we might have to meet more than once to ensure that they are comfortable with me and I am comfortable with them.) I also would love to know anything fun about your pet or pets! What’s their favorite thing to do? Do they have a favorite spot they like to be pet? Favorite place to go on walks? Favorite treat? Anything of that sort! Does your pet have any kind of training? If so I would love to know their cues and if there are any specific steps you want me to take because of any training.

A typical day

I believe that every animal is different and whatever they enjoy to do I’m absolutely always up for it! cuddling on the couch, just keeping them company, going on a walk in the park, playing tug, playing fetch, sunbathing in the yard, and even trips to a pet friendly store. Let me know what your pet enjoys the most! I want to make sure your pets are as happy, safe, and comfortable as they can be while you are away!

Pack Walks&Pet Care!

Pet care experience

Please take a moment to read this before you send a doggy daycare request: **Doggy Daycare/Pack walks** Any pups that are dog friendly and trained on and off leash can attend. Your pup joins other well mannered pups on a weekly walk/adventure. We explore new places, practice proper socialization skills, and practice real world training experiences, This is offered Monday-Friday and a minimum of three days per week is required. Drop off/pick up services included! - Growing up I always had a cat or dog around. I have also taken care of countless of dogs and cats along the way- whether they were a stray I picked up, a family’s, friend’s, or neighbor’s. I’ve always had a passion for animals more specifically dogs. For three years I worked at a dog training/boarding facility as a kennel technician and a trainer. I was taught how to efficiently care for 25+ dogs at a time in a kennel environment. My responsibilities included taking dogs outside at specific times, feeding, administering medication, prioritizing safety, keeping kennels, and the dogs clean. Within the first couple of months working as a kennel technician I quickly developed a love for dog training and soon was promoted and worked as a trainer at the facility. I learned multiple ways to teach dogs different skills, work through behavioral issues, and how to better help owners understand and communicate with their dogs. From there I went on to work at a local dog park/bar for just about three years as well. I closely monitored the dogs in the park to make sure they were playing in a fair and safe manner. I had to be able to read the dogs in the park and deescalate possible tension between dogs to prevent any scuffles or accidents. After the dog park closed I have gotten back into dog training again and have recently started a pack walking service. I’ve also been here on rover since 2022!

Tatum was amazing! She communicated so well with us while we were away, which helped relieve the anxiety of leaving our pup behind! Our dog loved her and she gave our pup so much love during their time together. The photos we were sent were proof of that! I would book Tatum again in a heartbeat!

Tatum is our go-to for dog boarding but this time she truly went above and beyond!! Couldn't recommend her more...we had to go out of town super last minute but our dog was only 1 week out of major TPLO surgery. Tatum took AMAZING care of him administering meds, monitoring his crate rest, and updated us EVERY DAY about the condition of his incision to check for infection. Truly THE BEST!!!

Tatum did a great job doing visits for me while I was gone. Did very good reports over how my dog was doing while I was gone. Sent multiple pictures each time she visited. I would absolutely use her services again!
