Hello! I’ve been caring for dogs, cats, rodents and the occasional bird, for over 35 years, mostly on a personal level, but some professional capacities as well. I have always lived with dogs and have worked in an animal shelter, been a vet technician, and volunteered for a time at a wildlife rescue. I’ve also cared for the pets of many family members, friends and co-workers. Throughout the years, I've considered my own dogs as family members and their care and happiness have always been a priority. I can relate to the stress and anxiety of trying to find someone I trust when I need to be away from my pups, so I know the importance of finding someone reliable that both you and your dog are comfortable with. When meeting and spending times with dogs, I put to use all I have learned over the years about dog behavior, interaction and training. I appreciate all different breeds and sizes and enjoy getting to know each individual dog as I spend time with them, building trust and friendship. I also have experience administering medication and care and am comfortable with special needs pups, be it medical or psychological (shy, fearful, previously abused, etc). Routines are usually important to dogs and I recognize the importance of following instructions regarding care and feeding. I also have the utmost respect for others homes and property. My focus and goal is to provide care and service that brings you peace of mind. Knowing your dog and home are in good hands enables you to fully enjoy your vacation, or focus on what you need to do while you are away from home. I’d love to meet you and your dog and have an opportunity to be their second best friend while you are gone!
