Reviews

We were very happy with Susan as a pet sitter. She was very attentive to and engaging with our dog, followed all our instructions, and sent a nice amount of text updates and photos of Bruno. We highly recommend Susan.

Susan did a great job taking care of our two dogs while we were away. We felt totally confident in her ability to care for our pets. I highly recommend Susan for your pet care needs!

Susan was a BLESSING for me and my dog when we needed a last minute check-in. She was so incredibly thorough and took great care to make sure she fit our routine and connected with Birdy. I recommend Susan to absolutely anyone who’s looking for competent care, a bubbly personality, and patience with an energetic and home-defending fuzz butt!!! We loved her!
Susan has been an absolute life saver in helping us train and care for our Great Dane. Going from a Miniature Yorkie to a Great Dane presented quite a challenge for us, but Susan handled it perfectly and with ease. From simple one word commands and hand commands, to introducing him to new people, to making special treats, she is amazing. Patient and kind, her compassion just shows in all she does. It's who she is. You can feel the love she has each time she meets with our dog and all the dogs she cares for. As someone who goes out of her way to help and accommodate our requests, we can always depend on Susan. We love our pets and without hesitation would put Susan at the very top of the list as the best person to care for them.

When I am at a client's home, I make sure to take detailed notes about my new pet client's daily routine and needs. I send detailed updates to my pet clients parents to let them know how their furry family members are doing. I always ensure that the home is safe for the pet before I leave from my visit. I make sure that pets have safe access to water, food, and a comfortable place to rest. I also ask their pet parents if they or their pets have any food allergies. I make sure to check the floor for any items a pet may have gotten into while their pet parents were away. When I leave always make sure all doors are secure
Information Susan M. would like to know about your pet
I like to make sure all pets are up to date with their required vaccinations and if they are microchipped. I will ask them for their veterinarian's contact information and an emergency contact if I am not able to get of hold of them while I am caring for their pet. if their dog or cat has any known allergies, health conditions, including fear and anxiety. I ask them if their dog has any leash reactivity to other dogs, people, loud vehicles, skateboards. I will ask them if their dog is afraid of fireworks or thunderstorms.
A typical day
I like to find out from their pet parents what their pet's favorite activities, favorite toys, and favorite treats. If I am doing a drop-in visit such as a mid-day walk. On our walk I like to bring along their dog's favorite treats so we can play a little "find it" where I toss some of their treats along our walk for their pup to find. Then after our walk we come back for some cuddle time. I enjoy tossing the ball around for them or playing a little game of tug. Then I refresh their water for them and I usually leave them with a fun food puzzle such as Kong. Which they can enjoy after I leave.

Availability
I offer 30-minute drop-in visits for dogs, cats, small mammals, reptiles, and birds. I provide dog walk and backyard play sessions for dogs. I am available during the week and on the weekends to provide morning, mid-day, evening, and overnight visits for your pets. I am also available to stay overnight with your pets two nights in a row. Due to my own pets needs I am not able to accommodate more than two overnights in a row. However, if your dog is able to spend one night on their own, I am able to stay a total of three nights. I would stay overnight with your pup the first two days, on the third day provide day services only (3-5 visits), and then on the fourth day spend the last night with your pup.
