Home full time & love to hike!
I'm 49 years old, married with 18 year old twin girls (all 4 of us are huge dog lovers!). I'm from Rhode Island. I was a hairdresser for about 25 years, but became allergic to the chemicals. Since I have always loved and owned dogs, and love to hike, caring for dogs with Rover is a perfect job for me! I've been sitting for dogs/pets for the past 15 years. My schedule is very flexible as I'm home full time. I'm also comfortable administering medication if need be as I've had to do so for my own dogs in the past and for dogs that I've cared for. In all of my years of being a dog owner, I've learned so much through dog trainers and classes and just living with both small and large dogs of different breeds. My husband, Chris, who dogs and children seem to flock to, also helps with caring for the dogs that stay with us. We're a great team, and it works out very well. Between the two of us, your dog will never be alone for long during their stay as there's at least one of us around most of the time. We also have a lot of experience with dogs that have separation anxiety as our previous dog had severe separation anxiety. We have no pets of our own right now. Unfortunately, my beloved dog, Ziggy, passed away a few years ago at age 16. Having dogs to care for is a welcome opportunity and we treat every single one of them as our own! I truly look forward to meeting and caring for your pets! I currently work part-time out of my home so I am home for most of the day. I take the dogs that we are boarding out for walks around the neighborhood three to four times a day. And at least once a day, I take them on a little adventure to hike the trails at many of our beautiful local parks. We only board one dog or one family of dogs at a time and up to 3 dogs per family. You are welcome to bring a crate if your dog needs it or just feels more comfortable having it. Otherwise the dogs that we board are welcome to cuddle with us on the furniture and have full reign of the house. For puppies or dogs that are still in training, we have gates to block off smaller areas of our house if necessary. We also have a good sized and fully fenced-in backyard. All dogs are always supervised when using our backyard. They are never left alone outside.

I can’t say enough about how amazing Susan is. I needed to find a new sitter after my person of 5 years retired. After reading Susan’s reviews, my husband and I took our dog for a meet and greet. Within 5 minutes of talking to her we knew this was our person. Susana sent us daily updates and pictures. This was so comforting for us we were overseas and missing our dog. We are already talking about our next family vacation and before I book the flights, I will be booking Susan.
Susan and her family welcomed my dog Bentley into their home and treated him like one of their own. Susan took Bentley on at least two long walks every day along with neighborhood walks and play time in the yard. Susan sent us daily updates and pictures and it was evident that he was being spoiled and loved every minute of it. I can't imagine leaving him with anyone else.
Sue was fantastic with Echo and very tuned into her needs. She was totally attentive and communicated well throughout. Thank you for taking care of our pup!
Susan is amazing with my dog Tula. She is high energy so she loves going on long walks with Susan and playing in the fenced in back yard. Susan is great about sending daily updates and photos. She really goes above and beyond to treat your dog as her own!
This was our first time leaving our dog Rigby with a sitter and we are so happy we chose Susan! She was great with Rigby taking him on walks and hikes to places he's never been, so we know he had lots of fun while we were gone. We also appreciated her daily updates, pictures and video . We will definitely leave him with Susan again.

Harmonogram
I'm home full time and your pet(s) are my main priority. The only other job that I have is seasonal as I referee soccer part time. I only do that on weekends or in the evenings in the fall. And my husband is usually home with the dogs if I'm not.

I have a fully fenced in yard. However, I will always be with them outside as I never leave dogs alone in the backyard. someone will always be with them outside. I also take them for walks multiple times a day as I find it’s great for both of us!
Typowy dzień
I usually take 3-4 walks per day. And at least once a day(if it's ok with the owner) I usually take them to one of the many beautiful places near me, like along the bike path or to the Turner Reservoir. If you check out my photos, you'll see pictures of some of the places I've taken the dogs that are in my care. I'll also enjoy playing with your dog in my fenced in backyard in between walks..
