Pet care fits easily into my routine as I currently only work one day a week. This gives me plenty of flexibility and availability throughout the week for walks, drop-in visits, daycare and pet sitting. I'm able to dedicate time and attention to each pet's individual needs. Regular exercise, playtime, companionship, feeding routines or simply providing a calm and caring presence. I understand how important consistency is for pets and will do my best to maintain their usual routine while they're in my care.

When caring for pets in their owner's home, I aim to keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I understand that pets are often most comfortable in familiar surroundings, so I follow the owner's instructions carefully regarding feeding, exercise, medication and any other specific needs. Safety and wellbeing are always my priority. I take the time to get to know each pet's personality, adapting to their individual needs.

I'd love to learn as much as possible about your pet before their stay so I can make sure they feel safe, comfortable and happy. Please let me know about their usual routine including their feeding schedule, exercise needs, favourite toys or activities and any commands they know. It's also helpful to know how they are around other dogs, people and children. If they have any fears, anxieties or behaviours I should be aware of such as resource guarding, separation anxiety, reactivity or escape tendencies. This is all valuable information! Please also share any medical conditions, allergies, medications, mobility issues, or special care requirements. The more I know about your pet's personality and needs, the better I can tailor their care and give you complete peace of mind while you're away. I always recommend a meet and greet before the first booking whenever possible, as it's a great opportunity for us to get to know each other and make sure it's the right fit for everyone involved.

Every pet is different, so I always try to follow their usual routine as closely as possible to help them feel comfortable and settled. Mornings start with toilet breaks, breakfast and plenty of affection! Then we'd head out for a walk or some playtime. Throughout the day, there are opportunities for exercise, rest and lots of one on one attention. Whether your pet is energetic and adventurous or prefers a slower pace and cosy naps, I'll tailor the day to suit their personality and needs. In the evenings, we wind down with cuddles, dinner and a calm, relaxed atmosphere so they feel right at home. You'll receive regular photo updates and messages throughout their stay, so you can relax knowing your pet is happy, safe, and having a great time. I love making sure pets have as much fun as they do comfort. For dogs, that might mean sniffy walks, games of fetch, tug of war, puzzle toys or simply exploring new routes at their own pace. For more laid back pups, it's all about belly rubs, companionship, and relaxing together. I always adapt activities to each pet's age, energy level and personality.

I've loved being around dogs for most of my life. I grew up with a family dog, regularly care for my parents' dog and as a teenager I worked in a dog kennels. This is where I've gained the most experience caring for dogs with different personalities, needs and routines. Professionally, I have worked as a nanny for over 10 years. Providing attentive, reliable care comes naturally to me. My role requires patience, responsibility and the ability to quickly build trust, which are qualities I bring to caring for pets as well. I understand how important it is for owners to know their dog is safe, happy and well looked after. Whether your dog enjoys walks, playtime, companionship or simply sticking to their normal routine, I'm happy to tailor my care to their individual needs. I'll also keep you updated so you can feel confident and reassured while you're away. I can’t recommend my sister, Sophie, highly enough. She has always had a natural connection with animals and is incredibly gentle, calm, and caring around them. Growing up, we had a very bouncy medium-sized dog who could be quite a handful on walks, but Sophie was always patient and confident with him. She also looks after my cats whenever I’m away on holiday. They’re quite shy and easily spooked, so they don’t warm to everyone, but Sophie has a lovely calming presence that puts them completely at ease. Before long, they’re happily coming to her for fuss and cuddles, which is something I always love to see. As a person, Sophie is kind, trustworthy, and respectful. She’s reliable, punctual, and takes great care of both pets and their homes. I would have complete confidence leaving any animal in her care, knowing they would be treated with genuine love, patience, and attention. Any pet owner would be lucky to have Sophie looking after their furry family members.
My daughter Sophie Wynne has grown up caring for a family rescue Heinz 57 dog whom we owned for 13 years. She has a loving and kind nature and has always been empathetic towards any dog. I now own a Rescue Saluki/ Whippet who has had quite a few reactive issues outdoors and again Sophie has looked after him for me with diligence and consideration. She enjoys walking and being outdoors and I would not hesitate to recommend her to help care for your dog.
