I am currently back home in CT for the summer and during this time I will be doing dog walking & pet sitting for a main source of income. With that being said, I am very flexible and have plenty of availability to care of your pet(s)!

When visiting, I am able to follow any protocol that you prefer in terms of pet care and entering your home. Just let me know where to access your pets necessary care items such as: leashes, litter bags/boxes, cat litter, food, toys, medications, and brushes. I also always offer the opportunity for me to come to your home for a visit prior to confirming the visit. Just to make sure it is a good fit & get a rundown of how to best care for your pet(s). Lastly, I always love to send tons of videos and pictures to owners while taking care of their pets. I understand how hard it is to be away from your companions and want to ensure to you that they are under the best care!
Information Sophie K. would like to know about your pet
I would definitely like to know the dog/cat’s temperament. Meaning if they are comfortable with strangers, jump a lot, or have any concerning behaviors I need to look out for. I also would like to know if they need to be given medication, or have a special nutrition plan for when I feed them. Lastly, i think it's important for me to know how much energy your pets have so I know how much time I should put into getting them to move around.
A typical day
I'm a very active girl who loves to exercise, so me and your dog(s) would be able to go on plenty of walks, run around the yard, and play with toys. I love to walk near the beach or go on hiking trails. So, if you are comfortable with me taking your dog(s) outside of the neighborhood, these would be some go to spots for me to take them! Although I am very active I also love to hang out and enjoy the company of animals. If your dog or cat is more of a coach potato, I can absolutely fit that vibe as well. Being there to accompany your pet in either circumstance is what i'm here for :)

Pet care experience
I am currently a student having recently graduated from Providence College in spring of 2023 and am now going into my second year of medical school at Southern College of Optometry. In between my undergraduate and graduate studies I took a gap year, working full time as a dog walker & pet care taker. Since then I have been doing it part time while in school and absolutely love it!! In addition to working actively in the field for the last two years, I have also cared for two dogs throughout my childhood and currently co-parent an orange cat named Chip who was rescued from the streets of Memphis, TN (he definitely has the orange cat energy lol). I am experienced in caring for dogs/cats of all ages (youth-senior). I am able to provide them with any special care needed. For younger/new dogs I can assist with potty training routines and basic training (sit, down, etc.). In addition, for both dogs and cats I am skilled at medication administration and caring for pets who don't move/see well due to old age. I am always beyond excited to meet new people and pets & would be happy to set up a meeting prior to booking so you can ensure I am the right fit for you!! Hope to talk to y’all soon :))

Sophie is amazing! She took such great care of my dogs and house and was more than willing to stay an extra night at the last minute when I was delayed from traveling.
Sophie was most excellent! She was right on time and took great care of my fur babies. Myself, Fenway, and Big Fuzz say thank you very much. She even watered my plants so they wouldn’t die in the heat. I definitely recommend her to take care of your pets, she is kind and caring!!!
