Experienced Dog Lover
I’m an avid dog lover and have always had a huge soft spot for dogs and their very different personalities. Since moving abroad, I’ve found myself seriously missing having a dog around, so Rover feels like the perfect excuse to get some much-needed dog TLC while giving your pup lots of love and attention in return! My own dog was reactive, so I have first-hand experience with the challenges that can come with that. I worked with several professional behaviourists and learnt a lot about understanding triggers, reading body language, and helping dogs feel safe and comfortable. It’s given me a real appreciation for the fact that every dog is different and sometimes needs a little extra patience and understanding. I’ve also looked after puppies, so I’m no stranger to the zoomies, curiosity, cuddles and general puppy chaos! Whether your dog loves long walks and playtime or is happier curled up next to you, I’m happy to follow their lead and make sure they get the care and attention they need. Ultimately, I just genuinely love being around dogs and want them to feel happy, relaxed and loved while they’re with me.

Safety, trust & environment
I want every dog in my care to feel safe, comfortable and at home. I’m happy to adapt to whatever routine works best for you and your dog, whether that means sticking closely to their usual feeding and walking schedule, keeping up with their training, or making sure they have plenty of quiet time and space. I’m very mindful of each dog’s personality and needs, especially if they’re nervous, reactive or taking some time to settle in. I’ll always take things at their pace and never force interaction or put them in situations they’re uncomfortable with. I’m also happy to follow your preferences and instructions when it comes to walks, food, treats, sleeping arrangements and anything else that helps your dog feel settled. Communication is really important to me, so I’ll keep you updated and am more than happy to send photos and little updates while you’re away. Ultimately, I’ll treat your dog as if they were my own — with lots of care, attention, patience and, of course, plenty of cuddles & walks!

I can’t recommend Sophia enough! Our usual dog care hasn’t been available so I really wanted to find someone for Ollie that I could trust. Ollie can be a bit nervous but Sophia approached him super positively, and he went happily on his way! I had all the trust that he would be okay. We got updates during the day and pick up was so smooth. I could tell whether intentionally or not, some leash training was done and he was wrecked when he got home! So certainly got all his steps in. Will definitely be booking Sophia again ❤️

Schedule
I’m a freelancer, so I have a very flexible schedule and work from home most of the day. This means I can give your dog plenty of company, attention and cuddles rather than leaving them alone for long periods. I’m also very active and love getting out for walks. I regularly do 15,000–20,000 steps a day, so your dog would be more than welcome to join me! I’m lucky to have lots of local parks and green spaces nearby, which are perfect for daily walks, exploring and getting some fresh air. Whether your dog needs a good long walk, a few shorter outings, playtime throughout the day, or simply someone around for company, I can easily fit their routine into my day. I’m happy to work around their usual schedule and make sure they get plenty of attention while they’re with me.
