Reliable & Experienced Pet Care When You Need It
I’ve been caring for dogs since childhood and spent years as the designated pet sitter in my friendship circles. Although my job means I can’t have a dog or a cat full time, I’m able to offer flexible support for owners who are in the office, travelling, heading out for a date night or simply need an extra pair of hands. I’m experienced with: • Small breeds that need warmth and reassurance • Dachshund spine protection and safe play • Floppy-eared breeds prone to ear irritation and infections • Dogs and cats with long or high-maintenance coats • Dogs and cats on a special diet or specific feeding schedule • Senior pets with slower routines or need of medication I’ve cared for Dachshunds, Labradors, Yorkies, a Cocker Spaniel, a Cockapoo, a French Bulldog, a Mini Pinscher, a Boxer and a number of cats. I adapt to each pet’s age, routine and temperament whether that means gentle walks, active play or calm company at home. Before London I had my own Dachshund for over ten years. So I understand how much personality, love and mischief can fit into a small dog. I’ve also supported ageing pets through mobility changes and even pet dementia, so I understand how routines may shift over time. Whether you need daytime company, walks or overnight care, your pet will be treated with warmth, patience and attention to their individual needs.

Slavina was fantastic! Her communication was perfect and Jasper loved her. She even agreed to meet up a day before so her and Jasper could meet and on one of the days she spent extra time with him taking him to play with other dogs. Couldn’t recommend her enough !
Slavina took such great care of our cockapoo Disco who requires daily medication and has separation anxiety. She was so careful with her, particularly during the hot weather, and made sure Disco was always comfortable. Slavina sent us regular updates and photos of all their walks, play and cuddles. She also left our flat in immaculate condition!

Schedule
I'm currently transitioning to a full-time pet carer and trainer. So I am moving from doing project based work from home to only looking after pets. I can fit around your needs and availability - week days and evenings, weekends, overnight care at your home or mine.

Safety, trust & environment
I live in a court with fenced garden. My flat has a separete entrance and a flight of carpetted stairs leading to the first floor. If this is a challenge for your pup, I'd be happy to carry them up and down (even bigger dogs) until I build a ramp. I also have a stool that flips and turns into a ramp to help dogs get on the couch. Once on the couch, dogs have easy but safe access to a big window and cat's can sit on a wide window sill and enjoy the world outside. Finally, there's a rug or carpet in 2 of the rooms and I also lay down floor runners so that more anxious dogs don't worry about slipping on the polished floor.
A typical day
I tailor days to the dog or cat I look after. But some fun things that we can do are listed below: - Easy access to two parks with dedicated dog area and one without - Access to the Walthamstow Wetlands (dogs on a lead) and Walthamstow Marches (dogs off lead allowed) - Throwing a ball / a stick (if allowed) or a toy when home; playing tug at home - Enrichment activities at home like licking mats and puzzle games - Slow treat release toys and snuffle balls (new for each dog) - Training exercises with treat rewards, lots of praise and pets - Playing "hide & seek" with treats or a favourite toy - Lots of pets, belly rubs and head scratches and even some brushing (if required) - Scratching mats and posts for cats - Playing with stuffed mice, kicker toys and hanging teaser toys (with catnip if allowed) - Lots of treats throughout the day for dogs and cats as a reward or a bribing tool
