Walks & loving care by 2 dog lovers next to a park

Myself and my partner Rachael both grew up with dogs and now regularly look after our parents’ pups, each with their own personality and needs. There’s Roxy, the energetic yellow Lab who never tires of a good fetch session; Juno, the loyal Cockapoo who thrives on routine and attention; and Barney, the cuddly Cavapoo who’s obsessed with tennis balls and belly rubs. Whether it’s keeping up with high-energy pups, caring for senior dogs, or handling different temperaments, we’ve got hands-on experience with it all. Your dog will be treated like one of the family with lots of love, play, and thoughtful care tailored to them.

Super stay for Ginger as always. A mix of games and cuddles. She gets very excited as we walk up to the front door now.

Lovely stay for Ginger as always. Simon must be getting used to being climbed over by now.

Rachel was fantastic looking after Luca for the day. She kept me updated throughout, which gave me real peace of mind. Luca clearly felt comfortable and happy with her. Thank you.

Another great day out for Ginger with Simon and Rachel. Long walks and meeting and making new friends. A very happy dog and owners at the end of a long day.

Simon and Rachael clearly care a great deal about dogs and that comes across so strongly in dealing with them and the care and attention they have shown Elsie. Looking forward to next time.

My dog Amy seemed to settle really quickly in Simon and Rachael's home for the day. Rachael gave me several updates on how she was doing and took her for a couple of walks in Alexandra Park. I came to pick up a dog that was fairly reluctant to leave! Would definitely book again.

Calendar and availability

Schedule

Myself and partner Rachael both work from home, which means your dog will get plenty of attention, company, and care throughout the day. Whether it’s playtime between meetings, lunchtime walks, or just being a calming presence while they nap, we’re always close by. We’re used to adapting our routine around the needs of the dogs we care for, whether they’re full of energy or prefer a slower pace.

Safety, trust & environment

At our home, dogs have access to a secure, fenced garden for safe outdoor time, perfect for a sniff and on-demand toilet breaks. We also live right opposite the beautiful Alexandra Park, the perfect place for walkies — or a short walk to the beach. We love walking and always tailor exercise/walks to suit your dog’s energy levels and needs.

A typical day

A typical day is all about keeping tails wagging and dogs happy. We start the day with a good walk, usually in Alexandra Park, right across from our home. It’s perfect for morning sniffs, playtime, and stretching their legs. Back home, it’s time for breakfast, followed by some chill time (or a cuddle on the sofa if that’s their thing). Throughout the day, we mix in play sessions and short walks depending on your dog’s energy and routine. If they’re the ball-chasing type, we’re all in. If they prefer a slower pace or are a little older, we make sure they feel comfy and cared for. Evenings usually mean one more stroll, dinner, and winding down with plenty of love and attention. Every dog is different, so we always tailor the day to suit their needs and personality.

We’d love to know all about your dog’s routine, quirks, and preferences, from feeding times and favourite toys to how they behave on walks or around other dogs. It’s also helpful to hear about any additional likes, needs, anxieties, or training cues you use, so we can keep things consistent and stress-free for them. Every dog is different, and we want yours to feel right at home — so no detail is too small!
