Growing up I have had a wide range of pets that I have cared for from reptiles, birds and small pets to cats and dog as well as some chickens. Prior to moving out of my parents house our family dogs were boxers and a Jack Russell beagle mix. I started off like most with dog sitting in my neighborhood and for family growing up. When I got my own car I was able to pet sit using care. com to widen my range of clients. I took some time off during nursing school/work from pet sitting and recently quit my job to travel with my partner and his job full time. We spend time between Wyoming, Ohio and Florida. Being an RN i am more than comfortable giving injections or medications, i had a tortoise who had to have daily injections for a few weeks. I am excited to join rover to have the flexibility to watch pets in each state as well as get some dog and cat love that I have been missing. We currently do not have a dog or cat but we do have our two pet birds Penelope (blue headed pionus) and Phoebe (sun conure). Due to having the birds and their safety I would prefer to watch pets in their own home if possible.
