Most importantly, I need to know if your dog has any health issues or allergies. I also have a cat and chickens, so I need to know if your dog needs extra supervision around these animals. I love to let my dogs run off leash and I would also like to know how your dog handles off leash situations or if they need to be leashed at all times. I also need to know if your dog has any special needs or if your dog has anything that causes anxiety. I can also be a worrier so it would be nice to know if your dog has any habits that may seem unusual.
A typical day
I seek adventure and I love to bring the dogs with me on them. I like to explore trails in the mountains, out in the desert, let dogs swim in lakes, have them hang out with me while I work in my garden, help me with various other tasks around the property (I live on an acre), and even go to the dog park for some good socialization and ball fun. I have a horse and attend the barn on a daily. Doggos that are good listeners can also accompany me to the barn and get a feel of that barn dog life.

I’ve had dogs my whole life and have been dog sitting for about 10 years. I love taking my dogs and the dogs I watch for good hikes and adventures. I live on an acre with a big fenced backyard. I have 3 dogs of my own, 1 cat, and several chickens and ducks… my little micro farm.

Shelby did an amazing job watching Tanuki! She kept frequent communication and sent numerous photos of him playing throughout the weekend. He was very happy (and tired!) when he came home from her care. I will definitely leave Tanuki with her again!
