With a lifelong passion for animals and a deep understanding of their unique needs, I bring both experience and empathy to every pet I care for. Over the years, I’ve provided hands-on care for a wide range of domestic and exotic animals—including cats, guinea pigs, rabbits, ferrets, freshwater and reef aquarium fish, and reptiles like tokay geckos, leopard geckos, skinks, veiled chameleons, and ball pythons. This diverse background has given me a strong foundation in animal behavior, enrichment, and health. I currently share life with a joyful four-year-old golden retriever named Zelda and a nine-year-old rescue cat named Little Girl "LG". I’ve completed multiple training programs—including the GoodPup Dog Training Certification. I specialize in positive reinforcement techniques tailored to each dog’s personality, and I’m particularly skilled at working with dogs who pull on leash or resist walking. My calm, reward-based approach helps build trust and better habits. I’m confident and comfortable with dogs of all sizes and temperaments, and I’ve cared for pets with medical or behavioral needs—including administering medications and supporting post-rescue or recovery routines. Living near wooded areas has also given me firsthand experience rescuing and assisting wildlife and stray animals, including birds, deer, and cats. My flexible work-from-home schedule—as a freelance tech support and UX/QA tester—allows me to offer dependable, attentive pet care. While I’m currently unable to host animals in my home, I may be available for in-home pet sitting depending on your location. I always prioritize exercise, enrichment, and emotional well-being, ensuring every pet feels safe, loved, and well cared for. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in English and a Master’s in Public Health from the University of Maryland, College Park. These studies have shaped my thoughtful communication style and my commitment to wellness—for both pets and their people.
