Growing up as kids we had every animal imaginable: Chickens, horses, pigs, sheep, cats, reptiles and of course dogs! My siblings and I did 4-H for quite a few years, showing pigs and sheep; because of this I know a fair amount about a wide variety of animals. We lived out of town growing up but we had about 10-15 neighbors in our “cluster”. I started pet sitting for the neighbors around 12 years old and ended up becoming the “go - to” pet sitter of the neighborhood. I have a dog and horse, Teal and Paisley. Teal over a year ago ended up having two little babies that we kept in the family. Teal is a Golden Retriever/Black Lab and the dad was a Purebred English Setter, the puppies were adorable. My mom ended up taking “Hoss the Boss” or Hoss and my fiancé took “Winston Pinston” or Winston. They all absolutely love each other and get so excited when they all get to be together. My fiancé and I just relocated to Echo, Oregon and I’m looking to fill my free time by providing high quality care for your fur babies. My goal is to provide a safe, enriching and relaxing environment for all animals in my care. Thank you for taking time to read my profile and I look forward to hearing from you!

Savannah did an excellent job on the days she was available and my dog seemed enamored of her. However, the day before the job was to start Savannah contacted me that she would be unavailable two of the originally booked days due to a “last minute emergency.” Fortunately, I was able to cope on my own, which I chose to do rather than trying to cancel and rebook with someone else at the last minute. So in the end, it was an inconvenience rather than a disaster. It’s regrettable that Savannah’s lack of dependability in this situation detracted from her overall performance.

Savannah stayed at our house with our dogs for 10 days, she kept them company and took them on adventures too. She sent me pictures and made sure the house was well kept. I am confident that our dogs were well watched after and we will definitely be using her again in the future!!

Schedule
I’m currently only working part time so I’m not away from the house for too long at one time. When I’m home we are very active and spend a lot of time outside gardening, hanging on the patio and taking walks.

I like to provide positive interactions with any animal I’m around. I do my best to read body language and determine how I’m going to interact with the dog/horse/cat etc. My animals (a dog and a horse) are my world and they know it, that’s for sure!
Pets
A typical day
My dogs love to play and wrestle while I garden and do chores around outside. We also love to play fetch, tug of war and tag. For the summer time I have a little kitty pool that I fill with water for the dogs to lay in or stand in to cool off during their breaks from playing. We also love taking a nice long walk to the river to go swim!
