So sweet and caring with my pup!

We were extremely disappointed and frustrated with our experience with Sarah. From the beginning of her stay there were some red flags. I specifically asked her to come over and meet the dogs, which she did along with her puppy. We discussed the dogs' needs, including one of my dog’s separation anxiety and need for interaction/mental stimulation throughout the day, and she assured me that she (and her puppy )would spend plenty of time with both dogs. However, on the day of our departure, she arrived late due to car trouble and left shortly after we did to get her roommates car. She said she would be back shortly and instead took hours. This was not what we had agreed upon, and it left us worried about leaving the dogs . Throughout her stay, there were numerous instances where she failed to meet our expectations. She did not follow through on her promise to let the dogs out on her lunch breaks, leaving Koda crated for over 9 hours without a break(she agreed to 4-6). This caused him extreme distress(seen hurting himself on camera by hour 8). She also failed to bring her own puppy for playtime as discussed,which while not a requirement at all, was disappointing since I was under the impression that she was . They even had a play date beforehand to make sure they got along ! Furthermore, she brought a stranger into our home without our knowledge or consent, which was a breach of our privacy and a safety risk. She left the dogs closed in a small room for hours on Christmas Day without access to water or proper supervision claiming “they did not want to go out when I asked them”. They would never willingly stay in a room over human contact . This resulted in my sensitive rescue dog crying and barking, which is highly unusual for him. Additionally, she allowed my other dog to ingest a toy that could have led to a serious medical emergency, despite being aware of his gastrointestinal condition. I spent the entire holiday anxious and unable to enjoy time with my family. She failed to effectively communicate and did not provide adequate care for my dogs. I had to ask my mom to come by the house to check on them when I realized she would not be coming home throughout the day. I told her that this was a resource if she needed it (she had my moms phone number), but she was not the one to reach out and make contact when necessary. I had to monitor the situation and ask my mom to come over when I realized she was gone for longer than agreed-upon. My parents even walked in to a room full of feces in the early afternoon when they came to check on the dogs at my request. These dogs RARELY have accidents, especially my rescue dog The dogs' behavior upon our return was very concerning, especially with my one dog displaying escalated separation anxiety and new aggression directed towards us . As a result, he had to be prescribed two oral medications after the stay. Furthermore, Sarah took two whole weeks to return our key after she said she would return it the same night we got home . This left us worried about the security of our home. One day the key just appeared in my mailbox with no form of communication/notification. Overall, I am deeply disappointed with the lack of professionalism, reliability, and care for our dogs. Her actions and negligence have had a negative impact on both our holiday and the well-being of our pets.

Cancelled without contacting us 2 hours after we left for our vacation. Had to scramble to find a replacement without explanation or contact. Later finally heard it was a family emergency that she found out about the night before. No heads up to leave someone in a bind like this is not professional or acceptable.
