I am adaptable, deferring to how the owner prefers I do things when caring for their pet as well as taking cues from the animals themselves. The only rule I have is that I don’t take dogs off leash outside the house (except in private, fenced off areas like a yard) and I don’t take dogs to the dog park. This is mostly for liability purposes.

I do need to know about any reactivity your babies may have ahead of time. This is not necessarily a deterrent, but keeping everyone safe, secure, and happy is my priority!

Regarding activities: I usually go with what makes your baby happiest. I’m happy to take them on walks, throw the ball in the yard (shout out to my lab friends!), cuddle, wrestle, take them for rides in the car if preferred (I have a pet-proof SUV), whatever works for your babies works for me! Also, I always send videos and photos every visit, even if the owner doesn’t request them, though I’ve yet to meet an owner who didn’t want them!

**Especially experienced with senior, hospice, and special needs pets** Note: The same-day cancellation mentioned on my profile unfortunately happened due to an unavoidable medical emergency with my own dog. A same-day cancellation has happened once in 11yrs. I pride myself on professionalism and dependability, being someone who animals trust and owners can depend on. I have a long personal history of taking in animals who needed a little extra love and care. In addition to my own dogs, I have over 20yrs first-hand experience with dogs and cats while working in all facets of animal rescue, as well as working through Rover for over 11yrs. Note: I am available for drop-ins with kitty friends, but I am unfortunately not able to housesit overnight with them.

Happy to have found Sarah to drop in on my babies while I was away. My cats can be skittish, and she was patient and respectful of their boundaries while making sure they had everything they needed. Would definitely rebook!
