I grew up with a number of dogs in our house and have translated that love over the last decade into dedicated involvement with foster/rescue organizations. I have experience caring for all dogs, from litters of new puppies to senior dogs and those with special needs. Some dogs I've cared for are experiencing their first taste of a home, and it couldn't be more rewarding to make them feel safe and loved while working on leash skills, potty training, baths, etc.

I am happy to accommodate you and your pet's preferences--I understand the importance of routine, consistency, and willingness to accommodate a pup's specific needs My schedule is very flexible during the day allowing for frequent potty breaks, multiple walks, park trips, and plenty of attention/playtime. My senior girl Lilo loves having visitors, and we are happy to welcome another dog into our home!

Information Sarah B. would like to know about your pet
As I have an older dog of my own at home, knowing if yours has a history of aggression with others is important. If solo time is a better fit, I have no problem coming to your home to sit.
A typical day
My dog and I absolutely love exploring the trails in the area and are lucky to live by many options for walks! We love to go to Cooper's, West Run, along Cheat Lake, and the rail trail. We try to go on at least 2 long walks a day and spend a lot of time outside in the backyard or on our deck. I'm at home working on my studies most of the time with my own dog, so your pup will always be cozied up with company and able to go out whenever they need! For overnight stays, your pup is welcome to sleep with us, or on a dog bed in our room. If they are crate trained and prefer their own space, we are happy to set them up in a snuggly sanctuary.

Dog lover with time to spare!
Pet care experience
There's nothing more wonderful than the love of a dog! I had previously primarily used Rover to find quality sitters and now my schedule is allowing me to return the favor. I'm a nurse and currently working on my Doctorate, so much of this time during this period in my schooling is spent studying from home, allowing me a very flexible schedule. From experiences seeking out sitters for my own dog, I know it is incredibly important (and sometimes challenging) to find someone trustworthy and reliable when life gets busy.
Reviews

Sarah took great care of my pup while we were away on vacation! She sent lots of pictures and followed his diet.
