Pet care experience
Genuine and compassionate sitter
I’ve had a love for dogs for as long as I can remember. I got my first dog at just five years old, and since then, I’ve always had at least one by my side. I spent 15 wonderful years living in Australia, where I began caring for other people’s pets and did so for around three years before Covid. During lockdown, I returned to England to be closer to my family. My own rescue dog, Bruce, sadly passed away last year. He was a 45kg Ridgeback–Rottweiler cross, so I’m very comfortable and experienced with larger breeds—though despite his size, he was the gentlest, most affectionate boy. Over the past 20 years, I’ve been passionate about rescuing dogs, caring for many and helping them feel safe, loved, and secure. While I’m not currently in a position to have a dog full-time due to living in a small flat, pet sitting allows me to continue doing something I truly care about—giving dogs the attention and care they deserve. I’m reliable, calm, and attentive, and I tailor my care to each dog’s individual needs. I can provide two walks a day (short or long, depending on your dog), continue any training routines, administer medication if required, and take care of vet visits if needed. Most importantly, I aim to keep your pet comfortable, settled, and happy in their own environment while you’re away. If you have any questions or specific requirements, I’d be very happy to discuss them.
Qualifications
Safety, trust & environment
I will be staying in your home and will take time to understand your pet’s usual routine—feeding, walks, medication, and any specific needs—so I can maintain consistency and minimise any disruption. I aim to ensure your pets feel comfortable, secure, and happy in your absence. I provide plenty of affection, cuddles, and attention for pets who enjoy it, while also respecting the space of those who may be more anxious or independent. I will always adapt to their individual needs. If your pet requires crating or has specific routines in place, I will ensure these are followed carefully. I’m happy to keep you updated with regular photos and videos for your peace of mind. Above all, I will treat your home with the utmost respect—keeping it clean, tidy, and cared for as if it were my own. I take pride in maintaining a high standard in everything I do.
Ratings and reviews
Sarah was the perfect house dog sitter. Louie was relaxed and settled with her as evidenced by the photos she sent whilst we were away. As a bonus our home was immaculate when we returned. Sarah kindly started early and stayed late to accommodate our flights so Louie wasn’t left on his own too long . I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Sarah.

Sarah is absolutely lovely she sent updates and photos every day and we could see that the dogs were very happy with her. When she left everything was clean and tidy and I would say she is the best sitter we have had. Highly recommend.

I can't recommend Sarah enough. Kylo was so well looked after and we had regular updates on his adventures. We would definitely book again.
Sarah was very lovely and responsive throughout her stay with our two boys. She sent lots of pictures and took our boys for day trips with her. I would definitely recommend using her, our boys had the best time with her 😊 we came back to our flat being very clean and tidy as well, we’ll definitely be using her again xx

Sarah A. cancelled a booking 4 days before it was scheduled to begin.
Sarah was great with communications and came promptly. She be very quickly knew how best to deal with our anxious dog and was calm and thoughtful. She sent us a lovely picture of him resting later on which really put our minds at rest. Absolutely recommend

Schedule
Availability: I am often fully booked with returning clients whose homes and pets I have cared for previously, so my calendar may appear unavailable at times. However, for Spring/Summer 2026, please do feel free to get in touch—I’m always happy to review my schedule and, where possible, make adjustments to accommodate everyone’s needs. *I do travel to provide sits; however, I have minimum stay requirements to account for travel. For locations within a 30-minute drive, I require a minimum of 2 nights, and for those up to an hour away, a minimum of 3 nights. About Me: I currently work for the NHS as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner, providing support to clients as a talking therapist. My role is fully remote, and I work from home. This means your pets won’t be left alone all day—I understand how important it is for them to feel safe, settled, and cared for. I have a flexible schedule and manage my own diary, allowing me to work around your pet’s usual routine, as long as this is clearly communicated. Practical Requirements: All I require is a reliable internet connection and a suitable space to work, such as a dining table or desk. I do also require access to a separate room where I can take calls, particularly if your pets are vocal during the day. While I am working, I am home throughout the day and will give your pets plenty of attention between calls. I’m also available for longer walks twice daily, ensuring they get both the exercise and companionship they need. However, if there is no internet access or the connection is unreliable, I wouldn’t be able to provide my services.
