With very rare exceptions, I only charge $5 per extra pet, per visit, but Rover automatically calculates and displays a much higher rate for some reason. I can reduce the cost manually on my end once you send the booking request.* As a lifelong lover of animals big and small, furry, hairy, slimy, crawly, and anything in between, I have 30 years of a variety of experience caring for dogs, cats, livestock, birds, herps, fish, invertebrates, and small mammals. I have cared for my own menagerie and others' both as a private, in-home pet sitter and in professional settings. I earned a degree in Animal Science in 2013 and have since worked as a Wildlife Biological Technician, Zookeeper, and then laboratory Veterinary Technician, working with anything from owls to hoofstock to primates. I have worked as a private pet sitter for 20 years. Although I have moved out of the animal care profession and into healthcare research, I still get my animal fix with our 4 resident cats, 2 snakes, bearded dragon, leopard gecko, fostering cats and dogs in the local community...and pet sitting! I figured I would finally join Rover to book more pet sitting jobs. As a pet owner myself, I know how important it is to be able to trust the person taking care of your pets. They are our family! As a zookeeper and pet sitter caring for so many different animals with many different needs, I can follow any care routine you have. Whether it's complicated meal feeding, oral/topical/sub-Q fluids, bathing, walks or other exercise, providing enrichment, multiple potty breaks, positive reinforcement training, or simply lots of cuddles and attention, I assure you your pets will be loved and tended to, and you will have peace of mind with my open communication (and surely lots of cute photos if you love those as much as I do).
