We (Dogs and I) work from home. Morning, afternoon and evening walks around the property are very common, of course with treats! Dogs can hang in the office, living room or outdoors in the yard and driveway watching the birds. Crows we feed protect them. Multiple dog beds allow movement and rest all over let alone covered furniture. Tile floors and throw rugs, but your dog MUST be potty trained. Water bowls are in each room. There is a front window doggie day bed with trundle to monitor all the goings’ on of the front part of the property providing endless hours of fun, cool and warm window watching.

A Mostly fenced property and two small, older friendly, active dogs keep everyone company. Feedings are usually 2x a day morning and evening with treats in-between after all have gone out several times, and right before bed. Water is in each room. Toys are around and chuck-its with balls outside. When it’s really hot the puppy pool comes out. The playtime of yard and paths with walks to rest time is common. We don't have crates, but feel free to bring the dog's own bed, blanket and bowls to make them feel comfortable. NO un-house trained dogs or recent rescues will be accepted. We further have a pitbulls policy.

Special needs and routines need to be known to plan around the dog pack. Introductions on the property and the dog must understand, to largely obey, off-leash commands. We strive for working to off-leash to run & enjoy, even if dragging the leash to start. All dogs must be house trained and any rescues need to have a history with you. No recent rescues who need potty training work. (Sorry, can’t have the couch and urine smells all over!)

Next is food, fed separately in the kitchen to other rooms assiduously avoiding food aggression. Lunchtime walks and treats thereafter. Mid-day treats are the largest. Walkies happen again 3-4pm and after 5-6 in the evening when everyone is fed. A sunset walk is common around the property as a pack, as well as sitting outside with everyone simply taking in the earth. That’s when pool time may happen in warm weather.

It’s been called ‘Dog camp!’ Longtime family pet owner, multi-dog owner and trained for elder rescue dog care to recovery and puppy-care. The forest preserve is mostly fenced. Several paths run all through the property for dogs and humans to enjoy as a giant dog park. We do these long trail pack walks morning and evening, going out several times during the day, followed by TREATS for potties with good behaviors reinforced. Come play with us including the doggie pool parties!

First time use of Rover and located this wonderful pet sitter! Located in beautiful wooded surroundings with room to explore and enjoy. Sitter was responsive to my questions, sent daily pics and I liked the meet and greet times which I feel adds more enjoyment and awareness for pets, sitter and owners. Highly recommend!
Both my dogs were well cared for during their stay with Mrs. Rowan. She was always very pleasant and showed a real and genuine care for animals. Was kept updated constantly and was sent plenty of photos. Dogs were properly introduced to the other dogs there and we even took them all for a walk around the property. Definitely would rebook and is highly recommended for a amazing experience.
Awesome sitter -- Winnie loves being around the other dogs and always is glad to come home but sad he has to leave. highly recommender!
I was impressed with how much she truly reflected her love of animals. My dog truly enjoyed his stay and I would definitely use her when we are up that way again.
