(He/him) I've lived with animals my whole life, living with two black labs and a cat since childhood. I dreamed of being a vet at a young age but realized I'd rather just have animals for friends! So began my passion for pet-sitting. I try to understand each unique animal's personality to figure out how to best care for them. I am patient and compassionate when it comes to their needs and energetic and adventurous when it comes to enriching animal's lives. I would be happy to meet more animal friends of all shapes, ages, and sizes! I hope to see an animal everyday. Growing up I would wake up every morning at 6 am to feed our two black labs and take them out for a bathroom break. Even though I've moved away from my parent's pets their routine has stuck with me as I caffeinate myself outside every morning still. I believe in the importance of daily exercise because of my relationship with animals and I'm happiest when that comes as walks through nature with an animal companion. The best evening downtime too comes either cuddled up with a dog or cat after dinner and before bedtime. I always want to understand the environment an animal lives in. I want to be aware of any possible exits and know the responsiveness of each dog to being called so that I never have to worry about chasing after a loose dog. Inside the home too I try to limit the opportunities each pet has for unwanted behavior like counter surfing or destructive chewing. I believe that every dog's behavior can be redirected without punitive measure, it just takes active observation and prompt intervention. Beyond that, I would keep the numbers and know the location of all emergency animal hospitals in the vicinity as well as emergency contacts from the owners.
