My humane society special, Sable, taught me just how amazing dogs are. After sharing a home with her for 14 years, I miss her and am filling the space she left by connecting with other wonderful dogs. I started walking dogs 7 months ago and it is the best hobby ever, no matter what the weather is. Last winter we walked in blizzards and bitter cold and also enjoyed walks in drizzly conditions. It’s been fun getting to know different breeds and learning about the varied personalities and needs of this gift of a species. I believe that dogs teach us to be better humans because you can’t help but to compare people to them and find yourself losing in the love and loyalty department.
