I have a flexible schedule that allows me to be around for the majority of my time. We live on a secluded 1.5 acre unfenced property. Puppies and dogs must be potty trained to go outside.

We have two friendly older dogs who are comfortable and respectful around new furry friends (cat, dogs and farm animals) due to their constant exposure to their furry foster friends and house sitting adventures over the years! They have no desire to be top dogs and are not interested in toys. I am happy to have your fur babies snuggle on the couch or in bed with me if they are allowed (as my two prefer their beds on the floor). I am comfortable with medication administration, special dietary needs, post-surgical care, palliative medical conditions, and physical disabilities due to my extensive experience in shelter and rescue work. I was a foster parent for many years and gained experience with special needs pets (medically and physically), behavioral concerns (separation anxiety, fearful, shy, aggression, basic obedience issues, housetraining, crate training). I also hold a certificate in pet first aid.

Your dogs must be comfortable with our two submissive dogs (my two 11 year old lovebugs) who are used to being polite respectful guests in someone else's home and inviting others into theirs. Sadly my girl has severe arthritis so she would not be able to join on any longer hikes and walks, thus it would be my other dog and any of yours out on the adventures together!

I love exploring new places whether that be a trail, a hike nearby, or a leisurely stroll down a quiet street. I am also happy to throw a ball if your dog would enjoy a game of fetch.

I have extensive experience in fostering and rescue work with cats and dogs, with an expertise in large breed dogs. I only take on a positive reinforcement approach while remaining in control and can recognize signs of concerning dog behavior in order to intervene before there is an issue. I love going for hikes and walks in nature and am hoping to be to enjoy the outdoors with your pup :)

I cannot imagine a better experience for my dog than staying with Rebecca. From the first meeting, I could tell it would be fantastic as I watched my shy, scared, reserved dog immediately bond with her and feel at home. Hoagie needs a lot of exercise and she definitely got that during her stay, something easier said than done. Rebecca also "handled" me well--giving me updates and sending photos that calmed my nerves. When we picked Hoagie up, she would have been happy to stay, which is the ultimate compliment.
