I work four days a week, mostly from home or doing half-days in the office. However, my work is incredibly flexible, so if you have a dog that needs someone around all day, I can easily adapt my schedule to stay at home with them full-time. Giles and I go for at least one good walk a day, which I always adjust for the weather, opting for early mornings or late evenings when it's hot.

Safety and comfort are my top priorities. I'm happy to do meet and greets to gradually introduce my Labrador, Giles, to ensure both dogs feel relaxed and happy together. I also always feed dogs completely separately, as Giles will absolutely try to eat their food if given the chance! I am also very mindful of the weather, adjusting our daily walks to early mornings or late evenings when it is hot to protect their paws from the pavement. I treat every pet as if they were my own, following the owner's exact routines. I have puppy cameras set up throughout the home for extra safety, which means I can also share funny videos and cute moments captured on camera during the day alongside my regular photo and text updates.

Their Routine: What are their usual feeding and walking times? (I am highly adaptable and happy to stick to whatever they are used to!). Terrace Safety & Recall: Do they have good recall off-lead? Temperament & Triggers: How do they react to meeting other large dogs like Giles? Are they worried by any specific noises (like thunder or fireworks) or resource-protective over toys and food? House-training: Are they fully house-trained, and what is their specific command word for going to the toilet? Commands & Quirks: Do they have any favourite command words, sleeping preferences (e.g. crates or on the bed), or unique quirks I should know about?
Typowy dzień
Morning: We have a relaxed start with an early rise for a quick toilet break. Because I’ve always kept things flexible with Giles to avoid him waiting by the door at the exact same time every day, our mornings are quite adaptable! Walks & WFH: Depending on the day, we might head out for a walk morning, lunchtime or evening depending on the weather and time of year. I mostly work from home, so the rest of the day is a chilled mix of napping, companionship, regular toilet breaks, and bursts of play. Safety First (Bloat Prevention): Whenever we do go for a walk, I always make sure there is a safe gap of at least an hour before and after exercise before feeding breakfast or dinner to prevent bloat. Evening: The evening is all about winding down with dinner and plenty of cuddles on the sofa! Summer Twist: The only time we stick to a stricter schedule is during the summer heat, when walks are strictly kept to early mornings or late evenings to protect their paws.

Sitting with Giles
Doświadczenie w opiece nad zwierzętami
I’ve been around dogs most of my life. I have experience with mainly Retrievers but also terriers, Frenchies and Spaniels. Raising my own dog: I’ve raised my 5-year-old Labrador, Giles, from a puppy, so I'm well-used to the daily routines of caring for a dog. Years of pet-sitting: I regularly look after, walk, and care for dogs belonging to family and friends, so I'm comfortable with different breeds and personalities. Adaptable care: I’m great at keeping to your dog's routines, adjusting walks for the weather, and managing separate feeding times. I am happy to sit for dogs providing you're happy for me to bring my dog too
Recenzje
Rachel looked after my two labradors and was fantastic! I trusted her completely and felt reassured that she would take good care of them whilst I was on holiday. There were no issues and the dogs loved her, I would very much highly recommend Rachel to care for anyones pets :)
Rachel looked after my 1-year-old Sprocker and I couldn’t have been happier with the care she provided. She was reliable, caring, and clearly has a natural way with dogs. My pup was happy, well looked after, and settled with her from the start. It gave me real peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. I would highly recommend Rachel to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving dog sitter.
Having know Rachel for many years and both having dogs ourselves, we both know for those evenings, or days that you may need to be away, how hard it can be to find someone to watch your beloved dog. Rachel is reliable, responsible, caring and loving and is also very adaptable, which I feel is a strong trait you would need to have to be a sitter. I feel this is very important, given that every dog has their own personality and trait. Rachel has looked after my dog, Milo, many times and I leave having no worries or concerns and knowing that Milo is in good hands and going to have a great time …. the hardest part sometimes is when it’s time to go home, Milo just wants to stay and play with Rachel and Giles (it’s the inventive games Rachel comes up with, I know Milo loves, along with the adventurous walks she takes them on). From my experiences, I know that any dog that Rachel would looking after, will be treated as if they were her own and I know Giles is very very loved, which should make anyone confident and feel at ease their own beloved dogs are in safe hands when left in Rachel’s care.
