I am a stay at home mom (and previously an elementary school teacher). I will be available most of the day to spend time with your pet. I will be home to play, walk, and cuddle with your pet/s.

I have completed the American Red Cross training for cat and dog first aid so that I will be better prepared to handle many situations. I have a fenced in yard and can walk your dog several times a day around the lake if they are able. I also have a 4 year old and college age daughter who love pets and will also give your pet/s unlimited play and attention. Your pet/s will be taken care of like family here. I will accommodate more than one dog from different families as long as they have no history of aggression and get along with other dogs. Of course I understand that dogs, like people, can have personality conflicts at times and I have the capability to keep such dogs separated. *I am happy to bathe smaller dogs for no charge! Larger dogs I can bathe on a case-by-case basis as I don’t have all of the nice equipment of a grooming salon 🙂 *Male dogs who mark inside the house will need to wear a belly band. Sometimes a dog that does not exhibit certain behaviors at home will react differently in a new environment. I’ll always keep you updated on how your dog is doing in my home. *For the sake of planning and to give everyone the best care possible, pick-up and drop-off windows need to be 1 hour or less. Please keep me updated on travel delays, etc. *Doggy daycare is considered 8-10 hours of care. Daycare needs beyond 10 hours will incur a cost adjustment. *Your fur baby will need to be up to date on vaccinations including bordatella and flea prevention while in my care.

Your dog’s feeding schedule and amounts. Are treats used for rewards or motivation? Please provide your dogs food and treats. I only feed the dogs the food that they are accustomed to eating at home, all dogs are separated at feeding time, and we do not offer them “human” food. I do make natural homemade pupsicles and will offer the dogs one to cool off after a walk with your permission. How does your dog do on a leash? Does he/she pull or get excited when approaching other dogs, birds, squirrels, etc? Are they able to handle walking in the summertime heat of Houston (mornings and/or evenings) How does your dog react to thunder/fireworks? Do you have a technique that helps provides comfort to your pet? Are there any behaviors I should be prepared for such as counter surfing or trash attacks? Are you comfortable with a male dog who is marking inside wearing a belly band (sometimes they may not do this at home but behavior can change in a new environment)? Where does your pet sleep? Is he/she normally crates when you leave the home? Does your pet have any aggression triggers such as toy or food guarding? Does your pet have a history of escaping? If your pet has a detailed care schedule please provide that before the booking. Please let me know if your pet has any special needs or behaviors for me to be aware of. I’d also love to know what activities, toys, etc that your pet enjoys so we can help make him or her feel as comfortable as possible. *Unfortunately I’m unable to accommodate aggressive pets.

Your dog will enjoy walking around the lake behind my house and exploring the smells of the neighborhood. I will enjoy cuddling with your dog as well as playing games such as fetch in the backyard. I have a teenage daughter who adores animals and will help to give your pet extra attention.

Hello! You clicked on the right profile 🙂 My late husband was active duty Army, which meant we had to board our dog a number of times during moves, etc. Personally, it caused me anxiety to leave her and I’d miss her dearly. Reflecting back on my own experiences boarding our pets, I strive to help alleviate these anxieties by taking care of your fur babies as if they were my own and maintaining regular contact with you including updates and lots of pictures of your pet’s day in my care. I’ve taken care of pets since I was a child. Either my own, fosters, or neighbor’s pets. I was the kid knocking on my neighbors’ doors asking to walk their dogs just because I enjoyed doing it. I have experience handling dogs of different sizes, temperaments, and unique personalities. I am a creative problem solver and enjoy working with families to create solutions to distinct situations that may arise when a dog is adjusting to a new environment. (Please read the “Requested information about your pet” section)
