I’ve loved animals my entire life and have more than 15 years of experience caring for dogs through pet ownership, fostering, volunteering in shelters, and caring for other people’s pets. I currently have two Chihuahuas of my own, Tinky and Teddy, so I’m especially comfortable with small dogs, puppies, senior dogs, and dogs with big personalities! I understand that every dog has their own routine, temperament, and comfort level. I’m patient with shy or anxious dogs and happy to follow your instructions regarding meals, walks, medications, crate time, and sleeping arrangements. Your dog will receive plenty of attention, affection, playtime, and regular updates while in my care. I know how stressful it can be to leave your pet with someone new, and I want you to feel confident that your baby is safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for.

Rachel was great, we received lots of fun pictures of Finn and he seemed to have a great time!

Rachel took great care of my dog and made him feel right at home. She eased my mind leaving my dog by sending me multiple pictures a day! I will definitely rebook with her. She was even sweet enough to let my dog go home with his favorite toy from her house
Rachel was great with our dog. He's got some anxiety and doesn't always do well with new people but she was patient and loved on him while we were gone. We got pictures and updates and she was easy to get in touch with. I'd definitely use her again.

Harmonogram
I work remotely, which allows me to be home throughout the day and provide frequent potty breaks, walks, playtime, and companionship. I’m available for boarding, drop-in visits, and walks, including many evenings and weekends. Because I have two dogs of my own, pet care is already part of my daily routine. I’m happy to adjust that routine based on your dog’s normal schedule and individual needs. I also enjoy taking relaxed neighborhood walks and spending plenty of time snuggling at home.

I live in a clean, comfortable apartment in Surf City with my two small dogs. Visiting pets are always supervised, kept leashed outside, and given a calm space where they can settle in and feel comfortable. I can keep pets separated when needed for meals, rest, or a slower introduction. Before boarding, I’d love to learn about your pet’s personality, routine, triggers, medical needs, and how they typically interact with other dogs. A meet-and-greet is always welcome so we can make sure everyone feels safe and comfortable. I will treat your pet with the same patience, attention, and love that I give my own.

A typical day includes plenty of attention, playtime, potty breaks, and walks tailored to your dog’s energy level and normal routine. For active dogs, I’m happy to take longer neighborhood walks and provide plenty of play and mental stimulation. For older or more relaxed dogs, I’m equally happy to enjoy shorter walks and lots of cozy couch time. I’ll also send regular photos and updates so you can see how your pet is doing!

- Please let me know about your pet’s normal schedule, personality, energy level, feeding routine, medications, allergies, and any special needs. I’d also like to know how they interact with other dogs, whether they experience separation anxiety, and if they have any triggers, fears, escape habits, resource guarding, or history of aggression. The more I know ahead of time, the better I can keep your pet safe, comfortable, and happy.
