Pet care experience
My love of animals is obvious when I interact with them. I have had dogs for most of my adult life. I have senior and puppy dog experience. I am happy to chill with a senior who needs more low key interaction or work on potty training or whatever command(s) your puppy is working on. I have great working knowledge of beginning stress behaviors in dogs, and can therefore act appropriately to get them to a comfortable place away from the threat. Or just wear your puppy out while you’re at work. I am extremely versatile and want to work with you so that your animal is not only comfortable, but hopefully finds a friend in me. Your animal’s safety is my top priority, and then of course fun. I take on the responsibility of looking after someone’s pet very seriously.

Reviews

As usual, Rachael went above and beyond! My two senior pups are very needy, and Rachael takes very good care of them. This is the third or fourth time I have booked Rachael, and I am always comforted knowing my babies are in capable hands. Thank you, Rachael!

Rachael was awesome with my dog Alba. Her communication was great, with frequent updates and videos. She went above and beyond!

Rachael was wonderful, she helped me out last minute and was very sweet and great with my dog. I love her attention to detail.

Rachael is awesome. She is easy to work with, reliable, and best of all my puppies LOVE her! She truly does go above and beyond. One of our puppies has special needs and she was great with her. I knew our puppies were great hands our whole vacation. She sent pictures and videos every day. One of the puppies even wanted to leave with her when we got home. Rachael has a great sense of how and when to connect with dogs to insure they are comfortable and to build trust. I was very impressed with her. Additionally, she was able to help me with my plants and kept our house nice and neat. We will definitely be booking her for future trips. :)

In my home I have two kids, 3 and 9 that have been raised around multiple dogs their entire lives. I wouldn’t bring my children into a client’s home, but they may be in my home- more or less depending on the week. My pup is crate trained, but is allowed on furniture and sleeps with us every night. When we lost our seniors pretty close together my eldest took it rough, (me too). Lucy, now 2 has been a joy to play with and train. She knows many commands and tricks. I am happy to do as little as food and water with a pat on the head, to walks, to hanging out with doggos while you’re working and happy to help if you’re out of town. I can do recurring or one time. My schedule is open and many Alaskans travel for work and play. I think my availability is a great way for us to work out possibly complicated routines. I can’t wait to meet you and your pet!

Information Rachael B. would like to know about your pet
Please do let me know if your pet is reactive in any specific way(s) so that I may accommodate them. If they have strong dislikes as well as strong likes I’d love to know all of that info. Favorite toy? Ball stealer at the park? Doesn't like hats? The more I know about what your animal likes, dislikes and how to get them back into a regulated state if they are dysregulated; the safer we all are. I can also give meds and any emergency meds and would love to have your vet’s info.
A typical day
With your permission, as the dog and I build trust I like to do more exciting activities. Walking around the neighborhood is a great “see how we do” activity that is close to home. If I feel comfortable with them in my car, we can play with the chuck it somewhere fenced in like the local dog park. I love to throw balls and play whatever their favorite game is. My dog thinks I’m pretty good at tug.

Availability
I am not currently working right now so my schedule is extremely flexible. I do have other obligations, but my schedule is probably more flexible and open than many sitters.
