Pet care experience

The more people i meet, the more i like dogs! lol

I am 56 and work shifts on the railway. I have plenty of free time and days off. I moved from London to Ashford two years ago. I now live on my own in a 2 bed coach house with plenty of dog friendly communal gardens and open spaces. I have owned and cared for dogs all my life and still miss having a dog at home. Although it is not practical for me to own a dog whilst I am still working I love to care for and walk dogs around my work schedule.

Dog Walking • Jan 07, 2023

Paul arrived at the time agreed to walk our dog. Ready and equipped with little treats too! You can tell that he's a dog lover and that he does this for himself as well as the dogs. Thanks Paul.

Paul was great with App , our 16 month Cockapoo. He was very caring and even bought App a Christmas gift. We had regular updates from Paul re App. Will definitely book him again.

Schedule

I work shifts but have plenty of free time. I know well in advance of my shift patterns/days off ect. so booking my time should not be a problem. Although its not easy to commit myself for more than one or two nights at a time, i do have sometimes have blocks of days off so may be available for longer.

Safety, trust & environment

My son sometimes comes down and stays with our pug (Jeff) and although he does not need too much exercise these days I still love taking him out and generally having him around.

A typical day

Every dog is different and has their own personality and needs. Some need long walks to burn off energy, and some are happier plodding around the street sniffing lamposts. I enjoy having a dog at home and they will have plenty of attention.

Feeding and exercise patterns are obviously very important. And how they behave around people and other dogs is important to know. Again every dog is different and I try my very best to treat them exactly how they are used to being treated at home. Although they may sometimes be a little spoilt. Lol
