Currently, we both work full-time in a hybrid model Monday-Friday with a good degree of flexibility for extra days WFH, and share dog caring responsibilities so there is almost always one of us at home anyway, and we wouldn’t accept a booking if there is any possibility of neither of us being able to be at home to be with them. Looking for doggies who need overnight/holiday/home away from home stays or pup-sitting/company when we are working from home/not working, and weekends.

We do not have a dog of our own. However, as we have a regular/weekly day care dog, depending on your days/date requirements, we will usually only be able to take dogs who are happy and comfortable around and non-aggressive towards other dogs. Dogs are allowed on furniture and beds in our home but of course, if they are trained otherwise then we would maintain this at your request. We always walk on leash next to roads, and would maintain this with new dogs/at an owners request at parks as well. When I have previously taken care of dogs I have only let them off lead with the owners permission, and once the dog has had the chance to get to know me well and has a good recall.

Information Pamela Karina & Guy H. would like to know about your pet
Do they have… Special needs/diet/any allergies? Behavioural issues? Please express details of any anxiety issues your dog may have, or resource guarding behaviours. This is super important for not only mine and my partner’s safety, but the safety of other pets we have in our care. Please provide vet details and emergency contacts if these aren’t already on your profile. If they are, please ensure they are up to date. Reaction to cats, squirrels and foxes etc. on walks (do they chase, pull, bark, etc?). This is just so we can be prepared. Good recall? Limitations when walking/exercising/playing? (Due to age, health, old or new injuries etc). Strict routines, feeding times, walking times etc. Are they… Good with children (please explain their nature and experience with children)? Good with strangers? Good with other dogs (please explain their nature and experience with other dogs)? Allowed on furniture? Please always be prepared to provide… Food with clear instructions of feeding times and measurements (as needed) and favourite snacks Bed, crates etc as desired, but at the very least a blanket which isn’t too clean/smells of home - especially if it’s their first time with me Favourite toys Harness/collar, leads, and coats if needed Any medications
A typical day
We are fortunate to be centrally located between two large south west London commons with a 3rd also within walking distance. So in addition to offering stimulating play time and interaction at home, (we always have toys and treats in store) we have many opportune moments within the day to take a pup on lengthy walks where, if owners permit, they will have the chance to interact with many other dogs and people. As mentioned in other parts of my profile I/we are keen to keep a pup on lead until confident they will recall to me and they feel safe and attached to me. Otherwise, more than happy to walk on extendable/long leads until this point - whatever an owner is comfortable and happy with. Also, dogs are allowed on furniture and beds in our home, so depending on what the owner would like (understand that some owners may wish to maintain rules of not being on furniture) there is plenty of snuggle and cuddle time on the sofa in front of the telly, or an occasional nap time on the cards!

First time bookers, you can use code KARINH13742 for a discount 🙂 *Please note that due to recent personal reasons I will be unable to look after dogs over 10kgs, and high energy/strong dogs - I have “medium” set on my profile as the “small” dog category only goes up to 7kgs 🙂 Please do not be offended if I am unable to take on your dog if I feel the breed as too strong/high energy for me 🙏🏼♥️* Hello! I’m Karina (that’s my middle name which I go by, first name is Pamela hence my profile ☺️). I had my first dog from the age of 11, and I won’t lie, I can’t actually imagine getting through the trials and tribulations of teen-hood had my trusted little side-kick not been there. I was fully hands on from the start with our dog, sharing responsibilities of walking, feeding, bathing, and administering medications as needed. My parents taught me from the get go how to care for him and be a responsible owner! I’ve then gone on to have 4 other dogs in my life. 2 were pugs with my previous partner, and then a Jack Russell and a large mixed breed rescued as a stray from Jordan, in my family’s home. Sadly, our two family dogs passed away in 2021 and due to my parents’ age, having another dog at my family home is not on the cards, and my partner, Guy, and I are not looking to have a dog of our own just yet, but we knew we still wanted to have dogs in our lives on a regular basis. Since the passing of my family dogs, we have been entrusted in looking after a range of pups together over the past 3 years for our friends and friends of friends, with such lovely feedback, which is why I have turned to Rover so we can continue to have dogs in our lives, and help other dog owners who may have time constraints or other commitments sometimes and need a dog-loving sitter/friend for their pooches to give them walks, play-time, love and affection :) Dogs are like family to me, they don’t judge, they just “listen” and love, and seem to make life much more manageable, mentally. We live in a spacious 2-bed first floor flat which is close to both Tooting Common and Clapham Common, and also walkable to Wandsworth Common. We also have a small, safe, secure balcony area. I should also add that I do not have a car I’m afraid, but can do nearby meets/pickups and happy to collect/meet at tube stations (Balham and Clapham South being my two closest). Thank you for taking the time to check my profile 🙏🏼♥️
Reviews

As always, Karina and Guy take such good care of Baloo. Lots of photos and updates mean I always know how he is and what they're up to. I trust Karina and Guy completely and they'll always be my first choice when I need someone to look after my Baloo. X

Highly recommend. Requested last minute care and my pup Mila was treated like royalty. Thank you!

Mila loves Karina and Guy so much! Highly recommend. They love your pup as if it were their own.

Karina and Guy have been looking after Bali since she was a small pup for day care and longer stays. They are wonderful people and dog sitters, and I trust them implicitly taking care of Bali. I know she has the best time, and is always so happy every time I drop her off ❤️
