Hi everyone! Thanks for taking the time to check me out. I’ve been boarding, training and raising dogs for quite some time now. I enjoy boarding dogs and raising puppies mostly. I currently just finished raising my first police k9 and it was a wonderful accomplishment Id love to continue to do. With that I also do detection with my dog Ace who is my Narcotic and Gun K9. Together we work as a team to help assist our local police departments. Boarding dogs is my absolute favorite though, I love being able to provide a safe welcoming warm home while you’re out of town. I’ve worked under numerous local bay area dog trainers and continue to everyday.

Over the course of 2 days, I received one photo with a comment that she’s “doing well”, no other updates on how she was. My puppy was extremely dehydrated when she got home, she had very dark yellow urine and was extremely thirsty. She’s had diarrhea everyday since she got home.
Thanks for taking care of our Bull Lee (English bulldog) for our out of country stay. Can tell he had fun.
Mya’s pricing was very reasonable and more affordable than other boarders we considered, especially after the week long stay discount, which we appreciated. Our dog came home physically fine after a full week stay, so we’re grateful for that! However, there were several things that left us uneasy. Unlike other boarders we’ve used, we were not allowed to tour the house or backyard before the stay, so we had no idea what the habitation space actually looked like. Mya offered to share photos instead, but the only ones we received were from the same room — we never saw the exterior, the yard, or any outdoor spaces. Our experience has been that previous dog boarders share photos proactively of our dog in the home, outside the home, and during walks. Communication was also an issue. We were told (verbally upon drop off) we’d receive an update the first night and never did. The only two updates we got during the entire week came after I reached out myself, and both times I waited hours for a response. It seemed like Mya may have been very occupied with her own training schedule, but the combination of limited transparency and slow communication made it very hard to feel at ease while we were out of town. Our dog appeared fine at pickup, but we left with more questions than answers about how his week actually went. For these reasons we are giving Mya a 3 star review.

Schedule
Im a full time dog trainer and boarder while also working as an independent contractor with my detection dog Ace. We get to travel to many places and work as a team to find things that people should not have. When It comes to dogs staying with me they get to come with me 24/7. I like to get at least 2 walks in around the block but if don't have time or the weather isn't the best then I use a dog treadmill. Dogs get to enjoy going out and getting basic training experience whether it's to learn to walk on a leash to learning how to settle in new environments.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fully fenced in back yard and live right next to multiple parks and hiking areas. Dogs will be kenneled if not playing or training for safety. Please let me know if your dog is not crate trained ahead of time. My dog is also kenneled if not working. Dogs will always be supervised outside and inside regardless of how friendly your dog is for their safety and others. I use ring cameras to help with this if I'm not home or whatever the scenario is. I like to be able to rotate dogs together that are friendly with one another but with those that aren't I do a more stricter kennel rotate system since I do normally have more than one dog at a time. I do take any dog, I have loads of experience after kennel teching for numerous dog trainers locally but also at big facilities.

A typical day
I really love taking my dogs out to parks or wherever i’m going. I often times am always running around and take my dogs with me for outings that are tailored to fun and training. Sometimes this can look like going to lakes or even going to parks and getting some time to hang out. I also enjoy teavi=hing all the dogs to start learning place so I can ask them to hold a place command which is an implied down stay on a bed cot so dogs can learn to co exist without wanting to express too much energy to those that. might not want to play but are still friendly.
