Although I have cared for other's pets previously, I have been providing care for others through Rover since 2016. My clients include kittens, cats, dogs (from 3 mos through 12 years, ranging from a Teacup Poodle to a Great Dane), chickens, and even miniature goats! I have had many dogs over the last 26 years, all varying in sizes from 14 lbs to 120 lbs and ages from 8 weeks to 14 years old. My last 4 dogs, one who still lives with me, have been rescued in one way or another and varied in ages from 1.5 yrs old to 13 yrs old, and sizes of 14 lbs to 95 lbs. I fostered the last dog for several months before deciding he could never leave, so I adopted him in 2018. I have had cats as pets in the past for over 20 years from kittens through 14-year-old cats, all rescued or strays that found me! We have recently adopted a new kitten, Malachite, that was abandoned by his mother on a local farm and he is a joy. I also have 4 years of experience as an Animal Medical Technician where I cared for rabbits, goats, and horses, including administering medications. I am comfortable administering medication to your pets including injections and oral medication. I have experience with senior pets and dogs with special needs including spinal injuries, blindness, and deafness, as well as separation and generalized anxiety. I feel it is important to keep your fur babies routine and schedule as close to normal as possible to reduce stress on them and you. I treat your babies as if they are my own and make sure they are comfortable while you are away. I will also water plants, put out your trash for collection, and collect your mail, packages, and newspapers while you are away if needed.
