Michael has been a dedicated volunteer with the assistance dog program where I work since 2013. Over the years, he has supported our mission in many ways, including participating in events, making donations, organizing fundraisers, and volunteering in our kennel with our future assistance dogs. From 2025 to the present, Michael has volunteered in our kennel, where he brushes and socializes the dogs to provide enrichment. The dogs clearly enjoy their weekly visits. He has also stepped in to cover Free Run dog exercise volunteer shifts when needed. As of February 2025, Michael has been hired as a Transport Driver. In this role, he transports both people and dogs locally, to NYC airports, and on long-distance trips throughout the East Coast, ranging from Maine to Florida and other states as needed. Michael’s long-standing commitment, reliability, and genuine care for our dogs and community have made him a valued part of our organization in both his volunteer and staff roles.
